"No problem, be careful. If this guy went up against 4 guys he sounds dangerous." Val said.

"Please, I can't remember the last time I lost a fight. Bones'll be the one on the pyre before I ever will be." Cyrus said.

She laughs. "I don't think so."

"I will be." Chase said "Marika, Jensi, Alton you three will come with me, we are going hunting." Chase said calling three of the higher ups.

"Man I doubt that. Bones was around when my dad was a kid. He's a lot older than he looks. Some say that the reason he's so young is because he sucks off the energy from burning bodies and rejuvenates his own body." Zak chuckled as he bit into one of the cookies. "I know your strong but so was Ivan and he got killed. Chase Conway is getting more dangerous." Zak said.

"Oh trust me, he does. It's not much different than his normal look, but over time you will see it." Mia said.
Tad shifted as he slept. He felt stiff as he moved.

She glowered at the ground. "I won't let anyone else I care about be taken away from me . . . " she said quietly.

"Well it's not like I wanted to make myself a target for the Sabers. They ambushed me and I simply fought back." Cyrus said. "And I'm still a bit in denial about them killing Ivan, there has to be an explanantion of how he could be beaten so easily."

Valentina went back over to the throne to make sure no one sat on it while Chase was gone.

"If you say so."

"well how do you plan on protecting us if you can't even protect yourself?" Tad asked.

"I hope you're ri-" Zak said and then jumped as a hand placed on his shoulder. A man with pale skin and dark eyes had appeared behind him. He had long gray hair. His knarrled hand clutches Zak's shoulder. The man chuckled. "Now now Zachary, don't go giving away all my beauty secrets." Bones chackled out.
"Damn it Bones, don't sneak up on me you old bat!" Zak said.
Bones just laughed his eery laugh. "anyway, do you know where your father is?"
"Dad had some stuff to take care of out of town. I'm in charge for the underground until he's back and Tad has the upper ground. Why what is it?"
"It's about Ivan." Bones said flatly.

"So the Sabers want you to be part of the Gargoyles, right?" Chief asked Orville.

"I do." Mika said.
Tad suddenly twisted around at Kanon. He pulled his knife from his waist and pressed the blade to her neck. His eyes where wild and filled with pain and fear. He pinned her down and held her at knife point. His chest heaved.

"What's this about Ivan?" Cyrus walked over and asked, munching on one of the cookies.

"Yes." Orville nodded. "It's working out better than I hoped."

"The goyles won't take you in like that. You aren't the right stuff." The man said.

"When I was doing the autopsy I found traces of poison in Ivan's system." Bones said.

"Then how do I get into the gargoyles?" Orville asked

"Who would've poisoned him then?" Cyrus asked

"You need to get the right stuff. " The man said.

"Not sure. But by the looks of the poison it was making him groggy and slow. I think that's how they killed him." He said.

"What stuff?" Orville asked.

"Can you tell how long ago he was poisoned?" Cyrus asked

"You look too nice. You look like a cop." He said. "I'll teach you want to say, how to fight and how to dress like a gang member. That may get you into them."

"Looks to be a about a week ago." Bone said. "I'm gonna go talk to Tad about this." He said.

"Then what was Ivan doing a week ago and who was he with..." He pondered about it, finishing the last cookie.

"That would be much appreciated." Orville nodded. "Thanks."

"I'm not sure." Bones huffed. "I'm not his father."

We will start tomorrow." The man said.

"I . . . " she hesitated, then became quiet. He was right . . . How was she supposed to help if she didn't know how to fight?

"I'll ask some of the others and look into it." Cyrus said and walked off down the hall.

"Where?" He asked

She doesn't move, staring blankly at Tam, waiting for him to calm down.

Tad pants and he looks down seeing her. He gets off her. "Sorry." He said as he put the blade away.

"Meet me here and we will walk to where you will be trained." The man said.

"Alright. I'm leaving for a bit, I'll be at the Bar if you need me, I need to speak with Tad." Bones said.
"Alright Bones." Zak said. Bones nodded and left down one of the halls. Zak shivered. "Bones always creeps me out..." He said.

"See." Tad said softly. "You can't. Not unless you let me train you." He said.

She bit her lowed lip. "Okay . . . So you'll train me? When?"

"It's fine," she says with a slight nod of her head.

"I'd like to start immediately." He said. "If that is alright with you."

Tad just nodded. "Alright, if we are going to stop this mad man, we best get a move on." Mika said standing.

Skylar gave a nod. "Yes, that's fine. I don't have much else to do anyways."

"Alright then." Tad said as he stood to face her. "First thing's first. I want you to hit me, as hard as you can." He said.

She blinked, a bit surprised. "Er, really? Right now?" Then she adjusted her shoulders and shrugged. "Um, if you say so . . . " She turned and slammed her fist into his jaw.
