Orville nodded and left the warehouse quickly.

Val stopped talking when she heard someone outside the door. "Chase?" She asked.

She walked to the room she shared with Jonas, shrugging her jacket off.

Kisa, Kanon and Karin all head over to the kitchen to make the food.

He looked at her. "What is it Val?" He asked.

Jonas was laying in the bed, reading.

Tad slowly got up and started to the kitchen to help them.

“Hey Blondie.” She greeted, closing the door behind her and setting her jacket and bag on the hook by the door. She stripped her turtleneck off to reveal her camisole, feeling freer without the sweater around her neck. She was careful with her hurt wrist and the bruises around her throat.

Kisa and Karin started the grilled cheese, whilst Kanon started the macaroni cheese.

"Hey, are you okay?" He asked.

Tad limped into the kitchen. "What can I help with." He said.

“Yeah,” she gave a small sigh and went over to the bed, sitting down and rubbing her arms. “I’m just worried about Ash.”

"What's up with him?" He asked.

“I can just tell he’s keeping something from me . . . “ she murmured, laying on her back and staring at the ceiling.

"No help is needed," Kanon smiles.

Tad huffed and sat down. "Okay."

Jonas laid next to her. "It's all gonna be okay."

She curled up against him. “I hope so.” She said softly.

“You’re still limping Tad. Rest a bit more. You’ll be allowed out and about soon enough.”

"And are you my mother?" Tadoda asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I hope so too." He whispered.

She turned her head to look at him, her gaze clouded. She pressed her forehead to his.

"No, but it's my job to make sure you're in perfect condition."

Val opened the door to her room and saw Tsume there. "Are you eavesdropping on us or something?" She frowned looking at him. "I thought you were Chase."

He sighed heavily.

Tsume pulled away. "I need to talk to Chase." He said. "When I heard your voice I listened to see if you where speaking with him."

"I will never be in perfect condition." He said. He stood up. "I need a breath of air, I will be right back." He said as he got up and limped outside before closing the door.

Skylar was silent, her breathing soft.

Jonas kissed her.

Kanon sighs.

Reaching up, she touched his cheek and softly kissed him back.

"No Chase is out in the main area you would've already passed him." Val furrowed her brow.

Tad was outside standing on the porch where he smoked on a menthol.

"He wasn't there a moment ago when I looked." Tsume said.

Jonas sighed and held her close.
