Colton thrashed and slashed.

More vines just grew back for every one he cut

Kirin held his arm and began applying the medicine to his arm. "Which side was your other scratch on?" she asked as she dabbed

"The right." Iroga replied, lifting his shirt to show the scratches, which were about as deep as the ones on his leg

Kirin stopped dabbing his arm to analyze the scratches on his side, "Iroga, you po! I thought you said it wasn't that bad," she scolded slightly. she touched near one of the scratches to see if anything had gotten into it

Iroga winced a little when she dabbed the big scratch in the middle.

gtg, got to work tomorrow.))

Riley walked up to him. "Stop acting like this, please brother."

"Dont ever call me that!" Colton snapped.

Kirin glanced up at him worriedly. She peered more closely at it

It was a little deeper than the others and would likely need stitches. Iroga kept looking out the window, watching Riley, Colton and Kro.

Kirin shuddered a little, inwardly, before applying some medicine to the scratch. "That's going to have to do for now. Do you have anything you can use to cover the scratches on your side?"

"Just my shirt." He replied

Kirin thought for a moment. "For the record, I wouldn't suggest you to use it if I was not concerned about one of you scratches. One of them is fairly deep and it wouldn't exactly be good if it got infected or dirty, so you may actually need to use your shirt for now"

"They probably have bandages around." Iroga said.

"Alright, then just stay there, and try not to move too much. I'll be right back" She said before glancing over at Rei and going off to check for bandages

Iroga got up once she left, glancing at the wound and honestly not too concerned about it. He walked out to the porch to watch the fight go on.

Kirin appeared beside him, bandaging his scratches. "Dummkoph" she muttered

"It's fine." Iroga said

Kirin rolled her eyes, "Hundreds of years and men hardly change..." She applied the last bandage rather firmly, "demon or know" she huffed teasingly

"How much longer do you think they'll fight?" He asked

Kirin looked out at them, "Depends" she said somewhat thoughtfully

~~~The Legacy of the Kage~~~
Year 1080- The Kage family was of a fairly normal bloodline, nothing odd, none of higher standing than a Blacksmith. Then a young boy by the name of Kyudo was born into the family... To one of the youngest sisters, Rozu, no less. Whom had gotten pregnant by a man the family did not approve of; consequently, both Rozu and her 'cursed child' were banished from the kingdom where their family held shop...

Year 1090- Kyudo had now grown to the mere age of ten; nonetheless his dreams were resolute and driven. He wanted to be a knight. to bring pride to his mother who had to do many shameful things to keep him alive. "I'll do it mom! I'll become the most powerful warrior any kingdom has ever seen!" His eyes suddenly filled with a flame as something awakened deep inside of himself, a lion ready to be uncaged.

Year 1095- Rozu did everything in her power to get Kyudo a teacher in the ways of swordplay, an old master of the trade gladly took up the role, the fire in Kyudo's eyes persuading him even further. Day after Day, Night after Night Kyudo trained. The small teen worked himself to the bone and even farther, refusing to give up and let him mother's hard work go to waste. "I'll beat you soon old man,  you don't stand a chance!" The teacher was taken aback, never having been challenged before he simply politely nodded, not taking Kyudo seriously.

Year 1096- As the final day of training approached Kyudo had not forgotten his challenge to the old man and instead brought two short swords to training that day. The old man, too proud to turn down the challenge, accepted and took up his own weapon, standing ready for him to make the first move. "Too bad..." It all happened in a flash, Kyudo practically appeared beside the old master and with one swift movement, disarmed him, quickly moving and bringing both short swords to the old man's throat, not even giving him enough time to react. "You lost old man...But you are only the first." Kyudo smirked proudly as the old man caught his breathe and applauded Kyudo, looking over to see Rozu's eyes filled with proud tears.

Year 1099- All seemed peaceful in the Kage household until a rapping at the door came, "Open up and give up your food and water! God's  will demands it!" Kyudo had heard of some religious armies marching and fighting in what everyone was calling The Crusades, but never did he think it would hit this close to home. Rozu answered the door with a frown, "W-We don't have anything to spare sir..." He growled and grabbed her by the throat, "Then we will find some use for you then, men!" Several men descended upon Rozu, groping at her chest and below,in a  metallic flash they fell, Kyudo having butchered them all in under a second and moving quickly to make work of all of the others. "Fire at will!"  A man yelled as Kyudo cut him down, his own eyes widening as he felt time itself slow. Arrows whizzed towards him but they seemed as if caught in water,  Kyudo weaving between them and dispatching the archers, finishing off the last of the platoon. "It's alright mom I got the-" His words stopped coldly as he turned and saw his mother's body, ridden with arrows at his feet.
They say this was the day when the true warrior within the legend awoke...

Year 1110- Word had began to spread of a shadow, a phantom that was taking down entire platoons of highly trained knights single-handedly. However; this is all it was, a rumor. At least that's all it was to the Kage family, now ascended to the throne of an extremely powerful kingdom, the very one that was leading The Crusades. They sat around a large table, adorned with gold and large quantities of food, laughing and drinking to their hearts
delight. "Who has heard this ridiculous rumor of a man taking down entire platoons? He is being called the phantom, how absurd!" The man at the head of the  table spoke and laughed loudly, slamming a fist down on the table. All at once a man spoke and every candle in the room blew out, "You really should respect  phantoms, you may have to face one, one day..." All that was seen in the room was a moonlit flash of iron.
The entire Kage royal family was found dead that day, and such was the end of their legacy, but not the end of his...

Year 1120- Kyudo seemed to be on a routine assassination job for a client undisclosed. With utmost precision and expertise he came into position above the sleeping figure, ready to bring down his own righteous vengeance down upon whomever deserved it. "They got you..." A small girl's voice sounded from under him as several candles flickered to life in the room, many armed men aiming long swords and bows directly at him. A tall, sleek man stepped into the room, "Ah finally we meet...phantom. I believe the last time was when I shot your mother." The man grins and snaps, an arrow rain from hell striking Kyudo down as several men then approached and sealed his death with piercing long swords through the heart, Kyudo falling, lifeless to the floor. "Such a shame that you'll have to die as well sweetheart.." The man chuckles as the girl cried out, "That wasn't the deal!" He steps forward and presses a dagger to  her throat, "Too ba- W-What the hell!" Kyudo began to move, drawing arrows and long swords out of his still beating heart, his eyes glowing red and a dark aura rising  from his body. A twisted laugh came from him, "I finally found you, bastard..." The man tried to slit Kyudos throat but the very blade snaps off, falling uselessly to  the floor. "W-What the hell are you!?!" Kyudo grins wickedly and moves in a line shadow, ending the man's life swiftly along with the others in the room, then turning the girl.  Whom looked completely unphased, and was actually smiling, "I knew you could do it! I believed in what my mother told me about you. That no matter what, you'd never lose!"  He looks taken aback, not really sure what to say or do, resulting in him muttering, "Let's go kid."

Year 1120-1130- Kyudo and the girl, by the name of Hikari, traveled long and far. They grew closer and closer until one day a tiny bulge appeared in the woman's stomach. Kyudo was overcome with joy, this was; however, short lived as these days many hunted him for various reasons. Somehow, even when his own regenerative abilities could not heal him, Hikari did, an odd light emanating from her hands and healing his wounds after every fight and close call.

Year 1131- An army bore down on the household of Kyudo and his nearly birth ready wife, "Run!" Kyudo called out to his wife, throwing yet another soldier to the side, lifeless. Hikari darted off, but not with soldiers chasing her down and nearly capturing her before Kyudo cut them down. From far off a familiar and grievous word could be heard, "Fire at will!" Kyudo stood, frozen as his mind flash backed to the moment of his mother's death. "Kyudo! Kyudo!!!" Hikari screamed out as a brilliant shield blocked the incoming arrow rain, "We have to run!" A single tear burned down Kyudo's face as he shook his head, "No, you must run..." An odd energy picked her up and thrust her away from him, a large bow appearing in his hands, "At least you will live... and her." He drew an arrow, a powerful sapphire energy swirling around him and ripping apart the ground as his feet.
One. An arrow ripped through his stomach.
Two. A sword pierced his side.
Three. He let loose the arrow as an arrow pierced his heart, "Die you bastards..." He accepted his fate as the arrow landed, a sapphire explosion consuming the clearing and all within.
Only Hikari and her unborn child escaping that fateful battle...

Kirin watched the fight closely. The two boys, they were certainly strange and powerful. She looked back at the hideout. "So many strong demons in one place..."

"If they fight like this all the time I'm wondering how this house is still standing." Iroga said

Kirin couldn't help a smile of amusement. "I don't know that they do always fight like this" she said thoughtfully. "They know too much about each other and their comments seem pretty raw. If they have fought like this before, it certainly hasn't been often"

Riley dodges as his cheek was cut by Colton's claw. "Stop this!"

Colton stood and growled. He vanished in a flicker of light.

Riley darted forward to where he stood. "COLTON!?"
