Nakutazuka's Wilflife Park (RP)

"What...?" He asked.

"A friend of mine has an old house they are selling in New york, just outside New York City." Maria said. "Ever since you where little you wanted to live in the city, so when she told me that, well I thought you would want the house." She smiled.

Opal froze as she was cleaning up

"Ah-A house...? In New York City?" Kyle said shocked.

"Yes." Maria smiling. "I came to spend some time with you before you left state."

"How can he move out? He still has college loans to pay off. And he works until 6 each night. " Dalton asked.

"I'm buying him the house." She said. "And I expect him to have work off for a week."

Opal returned to the window and looked over at Kyle

"I can't do that. He's my head builder. I'll be behind." Dalton said.

"Over working your employees. What is that, in jail time...?" She smirked darkly.

Dalton huffed. "Fine. AFTER today."

"After today. Oh, and I want to see the back areas of the zoo too."

"Demanding prick..." Dalton huffed. "Fine, but not today." He snapped.

"Fine. Kyle dear, I'll come grab you for dinner tonight. Be ready by 8 o'clock, okay?" She smiled.

"Uh...okay Ma." Kyle said. Maria smiled and walked away.

Opal watched her go, feeling as though she should have socked her when she had the chance

Kyle and Dalton stood there in silence for a moment. "Get back to work..." Dalton growled and started to walk away.

"Wait, dad." Kyle said but Dalton kept walking and was quickly gone. "Damn it dad." Kyle sighed and sat down at the table, his head in his hands.

Opal came out with a drink for him and sat beside him, "I hope you don't mind if I join you for a minute" she said sweetly

"You know me." He said trying to smile. "I can't resist a pretty face."

She smiled softly and nudged him, "Whhhaaa? A pretty face? Where? All I see is a sweet guy who could probably use a coffee and maybe and Advil"

"No advil, but coffee would be nice." He sighed.

"Alright, just give me one minute" she said and patted his shoulder before going and brewing up some coffee. After a minute or two she returned with a good sized mug of coffee. "I don't really know how you like it, sorry about that"

"I'm not picky." Kyle said taking the cup. "Thanks." He said softly.

"N-not a problem" Opal said as she handed him the mug.

Kyle just looked at the coffee. He was silent for once in his life.

Opal sat beside him again, "Kyle, are you alright?"

"I don't know...I'm fucked." Kyle said. "If I accept my mother's offer, dad will be mad. If I stay with dad, Mom will be mad." He said.

"Well, what are you thinking about her offer?"

"I don't know what to think." Kyle said.

"Well then just give yourself some time to settle down and think everything through" she smiled softly, "I suppose getting such a shock is going to leave your mind a little scrambled for a bit"

[Dang, gtg! Night!]

"Yeah... A bit." Kyle said.

Opal nudged him good naturedly, "Well hey, what ever you do is completely up to you. If one of your parents gets upset, well they'll learn to get over it. Though if you decide to move, you may wanna at least swing by once in a while. After all, Dalton does really care about you"

"Yeah, I know he does...He's just very stiff about it." He smiled.

Opal couldn't help a small chuckle, "I know he is."

"Good..." He smiled.
