Soul Takers 2.0

Riley growled as he looked at his destruction. He sighed. "Damn it." he said.

The shadow moved in front of them and blocked the way.

Charlotte stopped and made a barrier of light around her and Rhett.

Kro looked around seeing that Ulmis had left and there were only the ghosts floating around at the edges of the room. She went down a hall to one of the ruined walls where she could easily step outside. Maybe I should go back... She said.
"You should stay inside. You're cold enough as it is." A voice said behind her and she looked back, barely catching a glimpse of a dark figure ducked around a corner.

The shadows bashed at the light.

Riley sighed and walked over to the stumps of the trees and started to regrow the trees he destroyed.

Charlotte focused on keeping the barrier. She and Rhett started to walk forward towards the house, the barrier moving with them

Kro tried to walk around the corner to see the figure but it simply disappeared down another corridor

Riley sat on a stump and sighed.

The shadows burrowed into the ground and shot up like spikes at them as they moved closer.

"Dammit." Charlotte glared at the shadows and shot some light up into the air, hoping to alert Riley.

Riley saw the light. He took off toward them. The shadow started to burrow into the ground trying to tunnel into the safe bubble.

Kirin had stopped beside one of the halways that branched off and looked a bit puzzled

Alec said, "Why have we stopped?"

Kirin rubbed the back of her neck sheepishly, "Haha, well... I may have lost sight of our guide"

Charlotte tried to push the barrier down to stop the shadows. "Rhett I'm going to distract it, you run out of the barrier and for the house when I say." She said and Rhett nodded.

Ulmis came from down another hallway and found Kirin. "This way." They said

Alec sighed, "I heard what direction they walked in. Come on..." Starts walking in that direction

Kirin followed, feeling a tad defeated before they ran into Ulmis. She sighed in a bit of relief

Ulmis led the way back to the house-like room and noticed Kro had disappeared. "Where'd she go?"

Kirin sighed, "Oh dear... Alec, stay here for a moment, I think I can find my way back" she added as she took a step and vanished into the air, drifting down the corridor/hall way

Alec just stood there, "Okay.... then...."

"Would you like some food?" Ulmis asked the boy

Kirin searched around for Kro

Kro walked around the hallways but the figure was gone. She sighed and went back the way she came.

Alec nodded slightly

After a little bit, Kirin spotted Kro and formed a little ways away before hurrying over, "Hey, there you are! Are you okay?" she asked worriedly

"Yes I'm fine. I think there's someone else living in this place." She said

The shadows kept attacking. Riley ran through the forest drawing closer.

Kirin tilted her head and looked thoughtful for a moment, I suppose I wouldn't be surprised if there was something else here, but why do you say that?" she asked

Charlotte attacked the shadows with light. "Now Rhett!" She shouted.

Rhett raced through the barrier and towards the house

"I saw a figure. It told me not to go outside." Kro said
