"Sure. Just wait here." Val turned and started to walk back to the stairs

"Why do you call him Taddy?"

"Because he's Taddy." She smiled gently. She held her hand and looked down. "I know my parents are gone...even though he thinks I don't know that...I-I don't want to hurt him by letting him know I know." Mia said.

Zak waited for her.

"I didn't want to have to do this..." She muttered as she walked away from him. Val turned around at the last second and started shooting right at Zak.

"Why would it hurt him? Would you cry uncontrollably, and accuse him for not telling you? Would you intentionally hurt him?"

She continued to follow him quickly and quietly, a true spy.

"No, never." Mia said. "But...if I told him...it'd break his heart that I've known for a long time. He would blame himself for my own knowledge and hurt himself." She said simply. For a young girl, she was intelligent, most probably picking up a few things from spending three years with Tad.

Zak wasn't able to move fast enough and volley of bullets hit Zak's shoulder as he tried to dodge. He shouted out in pain as he fell back. A set of the woman at the bar held him down. They smirked and pinned him. "What should we do with him?"

Tad walked down a path through the woods, lit up lightly by the ground lights. As they walked through the the forest, they passed by some stone ruins. An eagle sat on an old chimney and as it shifted a brick fell off the stack. It cried out and then flew from it's perch over to Tad and landed on his shoulder. Tad kept walking.

What was this place? Skylar frowned and continued to follow Tad, glancing around curiously and carefully.

"Take him back to the warehouse just like the other one." Valentina said, holstering her gun again. "Chase will be very glad that we were able to capture both of them."

Kanon couldn't help but hug her. "You're so adorably intelligent. What I think, is that you and Tad need a nice long talk to hash everything out, and make sure neither of you blame yourselves about things."

"Bitch!" Zak snarled. He thrashed. The women giggled.

Mia hugged her back. She sighed heavily.

Tad kept walking. To the right, lay a lake and a small house up on stilts. He walked pass the house and farther into the woods where the lights didn't lead. He walked a path only he could see and follow.

Skylar paused as she watched Tad walk down the path, frowning. Could she follow? Should she? But she had come all this way . . .

Valentina pulled out a rag and a bottle of chloroform, pouring it onto the rag and handing it to one of the girls holding him down. The girl put it over Zak's mouth and nose. "Sleep now or it'll be a long ride for you." Val smiled.

[Skip to when Zak and Cyrus wake up?]

Tad was starting to disappear into the forest. She only had the window of opportunity.

Zak struggled, and went limp. The women picked him up. "Nice job." He said.

Valentina waited at the bar until all the others left heading back to the warehouse. She sat at the bar for a while drinking before she took a cab back herself.

Quickly making up her mind, she hurried after him into the darkness.

The moon light shne through the trees slightly only lighting up parts of the forest. Tad kept walking and walking. He must have walked a mile and a half before the forest started to thin a bit.

Chase waited at the Warehouse.

Val walked through the large open garage door of the warehouse, walking a little unevenly since she was a bit drunk. "Woo, that was fun." She giggled as she got closer to Chase.

For the thousandth time, Skylar wondered where the hell Tad was going.

Chase smiled. "Did you get him?" he asked.

Tad stopped in a clearing where the light of the moon reached in. From the little bit of light she could see something hanging in the trees. What it was, it was still too dark to tell.

"We got both of them." Val smiled back, putting her arms over his shoulders. "They should be waiting in the back, all tied up and knocked out."

Skylar hid behind a tree, squinting through the darkness.

The bird flew up off his shoulder and into the branches. He grabbed something in the trees and flew off. THe branches of the trees where pulled to the side and the light flooded in. Hanging from the trees where bones.

"Oh my, you little vixen." Chase chuckled and kissed her.

She kissed him back, holding onto his shoulders and lifting one knee up to his waist.

She swallowed and took a step back. What was Tad doing?
