" I know. " gabby understood. " it's only a couple hours."

"It's useless to be honest. The only thing really beneficial from these events are the Healers talk to one and other." He said. "If they wanted to do something like this I honestly think doing a day long event would be more beneficial to us as a whole." Scar sighed shaking his head. "but then again, what do I know? I'm just a rule breaker." He sighed

" yes, but it's tradition and you know people like to follow traditions it makes them feel important or good about themselves." Gabby said with a shrug. " it is nice to see how well the other clans are doing."

"And I understand that, but if the clans are gonna have a ceasefire then why not make it for an entire day and be more hospitable to one and other? Why not make this area a meeting place for through out the day for members of the clans to come and greet one and other. Why not make it worth more than a few hours once a month where only the select individuals get to join? It makes no sense to me."

" I understand your confusion. But it's also to show power."

"It's not right if you ask me." He said.

" I'm not disagreeing with you." Gabby said gently. " I think it's a bit of a power play and a way to try to show which clan is the best."

"None of us are when we let our fellow human in the Ruins suffer." He said under his breath more than anything else.

" you did the right thing." She said to him touching his arm gently.

Scar nodded and sighed gently. "Yeah, I hope so." he said.

" she'll do great." She told him gently.

He just nodded silently as they came to the meeting area, the other clans there already and mingling. "I'm probs just gonna stand in the back." He said as the clan dispersed.

" why don't you join me?" She suggested.

"Only if you don't mind." He said in response to her.

" no. I won't mind." She told him with a smile.

"All right then." Scar said as he followed her.

Gabby walked through the crowed wondering if she recognized any faces. ( do they use their warrior names during the meeting?)

(Yes they do)

She noticed an older darkskinned woman speaking with Tadoda, and laughing a bit.

" Hawkfeather!" A voice shouted then a small girl tackled gabby in a hug. " I'm so glad you are here!"

" hey Mistyeyes." Gabby said hugging her back.

Scar just stepped to the side a bit and let them have their space. He looked around at the others of the meeting scanning over the crowd.

" who is the cutie?" Mistyeyes said seeing scar.

" this is stoneheart my friend." Gabby said introducing them.

Scar looked awkwardly down as Mistyeyes called him cute. He looked back up at her and offered her his hand. "Stoneheart." he said bluntly. He kind of tilted his face away so the large burn scar wasn't as visible. It helped that they were in the shade of the trees.

" hawk have you been hiding him from me? He's quite cute." Misty teased which made gabby blush.
" he usually stays and guards the border." She said nervously. Hoping misty didn't bring up anything she has told her in the past about her crush on him.

Scar blushed a bit as she called him cute again. He cleared his throat. "She's right, I'm more a guard and patrol person than, ah this type of crowd." Scar informed her.

" wait is this the guy you were telling me about last time?" Misty asked looking between them. " the one you l-" misty was quickly cut off by gabby covering her mouth with her hand and smiling nervously at scar.
" I have no clue what she's talking about."
