" I'm a properly owned slave." Lillian said bluntly. " I say and do what ever my master wants."

"That, he did inform me of." He said." He said.

" he shouldn't have loved me." Lillian stated.

"No, but he would have loved you no matter what." He said.

" I don't see how he did..."

"You mean how did he love you?" Wolfgang asked.

" yes." She nodded. " how could he love someone like me..."

"Because Ulrick learned the hard way that the person who needs the most love, feel like they don't deserve it."

" I'm a whore. That's all I am." Lillian shook her head fighting back teara. " he's dead because of me."

Wolf cupped her face gently. "But that also means you deserve love." He said as he wiped a tear away with his thumb.

" I got him killed wolf!" She cried. " the only reason this happened was because I didn't do my job...."

"You couldn't know he would have died like this." He said.

" it's tam of course it would be like this." Lillian shook her head.

"Stop blaming yourself." He scolded her gently as he pulled her into a hug. He smelled of hot metal and smoke, warm fire and soot. It was an odd scent, but was a peaceful scent, warm and almost pine-like.

" but I am." She mumbled into his shoulder.

"You are not..." He said.

" how am I not?" She asked.

"Because you are not god, you cannot control fate, you are a human. You make mistakes you can be forgiven. You are forgiven." He said.

" what if I can't forgive myself?" Lillian asked softly.

"Do it for him." He whispered.

" I'm the reason...." Lillian mumbled shaking her head.

"He would want you to forgive himself." He said as he held her close.

" but he has been blown apart...."

"It doesn't matter." He said. "He still loves you." He said.

" he's dead. So how could he?" Lillian said in disbelief.
