"If you can go and grab your notes now yeah but I've been assigned a hunting mission today." He yawned.

" yay!" Cheza cheered.

"Go get them then." Scar smirked.

Cheza nodded dashing off her her cabin where he notes where.

Scar chuckled and shook his head. "Crazy how fast she learns."

" yeah. She's been working very hard to prove to everyone that you did the right thing brining her here." Gabby told him munching on some toast.

Scar sighed heavily. "I hope I did." He said.

" of course you did the right thing. She needed a caring home with people who will look out for her." Gabby said touching his hand gently with hers trying to give him reassurance.

"Doesn't feel like that way. The apprentices have warmed up to her quickly but the warriors, not so fast. Many of them look at her like she's nothing and then the look at me like that, to be honest I don't care how they look at me, I am nothing! But they turn those looks at Tadoda, at Lindsey...at you." He growled under his breath. "I'm glad i'm not confined to this place in the evenings for a bit. I was going stir crazy."

" don't say that about yourself you are not nothing." She told him sternly. " the kids are more accepting of her, they did questions the shackle scars on her wrist the first few days but now they love her stories of the monsters."

"Yeah i'm not sure if that's something I like them being so enthralled with. They might just become little Metalburns." he said.

" they have never seen one so of course the fact Cheza had enthrowls them." Gabby told him lightly.

"oh please the little knuckle heads see the monsters we hunt and take down. They just aren't as dangerous as the ones in the ruined world. And that's that part that scares me."

" if it counts metalburn is nothing compared to you. He ran way from the clicker where you ran towards it." Gabby added. " I don't blame them for being curious."

"I don't blame him for running away though. Clickers are dangerous. Like extremely dangerous." Scar said.

" what and what would have happened when i5 found everone?" Gabby asked.

"It would have killed everyone and taken the bodies back to its nest in the ruined world." Scar explained. "Some of us it wouldn't have killed and would carry us back alive." He said.

" exactly my point." Gabby told him" you saved everyone thete.

"Yeah because I've dealt with Clickers before. I don't blame anyone for running away the first time they see one." He said.

" so it was a good thing you were there. Or we all would have died."

Scar sighed. "You realize the only reason I was there was as punishment, right? I hate people and I hate crowds so it was punishment."

" still it was a good thing you were there." She added.

"I'm at least Metalburn wasn't the only one happy to see me there." He sighed.

" he's a jerk." She sighed.

"Yeah, that he is..." Scar said as he grew quiet, reaching up and touching his scar on his face. The blinded eye darted to the side as it caught movement coming towards them. Scar looked and smiled gently at Cheza as she returned.
