Soul Takers 2.0

"Fly...?" Mahic looked a bit confused and looked around. She started to run back towards the house.

Rylee started to run aswell. "R-Ry..."

"Yeah I feel it too." Rylee huffed. Something was following them.

Mahic glanced back, starting to feel something ominous but just barely. She started to move faster in order to catch up, starting to feel generally uneasy.

The edge of the forest neared. "Colton drop the barrier and then raise it and enforce it." He said.

She kept up, a little glad to see the house in sight but her stomach was still a mess of knots. She never remembered being away from Kro this long, even if it had only been for a day or so. Now she was with strangers and while she was not new to supernatural beings something about their dark auras she didn't trust, especially the one called 'Ry'.

They ran pass the barrier. Rylee set Colt on the ground and ran back out as Colton set the barrier up. The raven came screaming from the woods. It's black 'feathers' dripping around it, and its bones broken into bits. Blood oozed out from all around it.

Mahic stumbled a bit and sat own in the grass once she passed the barrier and looked back at the raven, hoping the barrier held.

The bird charged for the barrier, dashing away from Rylee. Rylee's arm grew and cracked and grew. His hand extended along with the red flames pouring out from parts of his skin which tore open. He grabbed the bird. "Naughty." he hissed.

Mahic got the fearful feeling, the one you'd get when you look directly at a demon. But this feeling was so much stronger it was like she was looking at the devil. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed something about Colt was wrong.

Mahic looked over at Colt, a little concerned but also quite freaked out. She felt like running away, straight out of the barrier if she could get through and into the forest.

Colton's normally fluffy dog like form had become something else. It was massive. About 36 feet tall and spiked. Bone shards of victims sprouted from his matted black fur. A red moehawk ran down his spine. A set of leathery wings rested on his side. A set of gnarrled teeth leapt from his bottom jaw and three sets protruded from his upper lip. He had four sets of eyes. All eyes watched Rylee.

Mahic froze, staring on at Colton. She'd never see demons or anything close to demonic before. She'd some crazy stuff, but nothing like this.

She felt the presence of a monster around her as well. When she turned her head back to Rylee. There was no man there but there was a creature there. No not even a creature it just was. It was a presence. It was a dark figure with death rolling off of it. It's flames quickly devoured the raven leaving nothing, not even a drop of blood.

She wasn't even sure what was happening anymore. Once she snapped out of her freeze she got up and ran for the house. [she is now emotionally scarred X3]

"Mahic?" Colton called and Rylee steeped in the barrier. "Hey what's wrong?" he said his body and voice normal.

She raced up to the porch without another word but found the door locked. She sat down on the wooden floor of the porch and leaned her back against the wall. It was true she was a scaredy cat, and she relied too much on Kro.

Colton caught up with her. "Hey Mahic what's wrong?" He asked.

"You two...you're demons..." She said

Colton swallowed and hung his head. "I-I'm sorry, I should have told you."

She brought her knees to her chest and rested her arms on them. "I just want to find my friend and leave."

"No one is leaving ot entering the barrier until I say so." Rylee said walking up. "For now, lets get inside." He said.

Mahic wanted to argue with him and leave but just got up and went inside instead. She wasn't going to dare to make a demon angry but she didn't want to stay there much longer.

Colton placed a hand on her shoulder. "If you want to know anything, I'll answer your questions." He said.

Rylee looked around outside with narrowed eyes and closed the door.

She nodded and looked around as she walked inside. She moved to one of the couches and sat down without a word.

Colton whined. "Just let her get her bearings." Rylee said.

Kro felt a cold presence near him.

Kro felt it but kept walking, glancing around cautiously guessing that there was something nearby. Hopefully the cold presence means a demon, cause I need to find one. He thought. He was a little grateful for the task actually, finding a demon seemed simple enough. And it wasn't like he needed to kill it or do anything bad as far a he knew. Lately he'd had enough of killing and even gave up his monster hunting job. It never seemed right to begin with, but even more so now.

Mahic sat down and thought for a while.
