Soul Takers 2.0

"You're right, I did lose quite a bit of sleep last night." She grinned at him before resting her elbow on the sill of the car window

"You can lay on the seat if you want. "I don't mind if you use my leg as a pillow." Rylee grinned. "And yeah, i'm really tired too."

"Nah my head on your lap might impede your conduising, or driving, whatever you call it." She said

"Driving." Rylee chuckled. "Okay then."

"And maybe if you could put on some better music." She said, staring out of the window again and feeling sleepy but not falling asleep yet.

He nodded and changed the station.

Rylee wakes her as they reach the town.

Kro woke up with a jolt and looked around groggy. "We here?" She asked

"In town." He said softly.

She nodded and ran her fingers through her hair to fix it. She looked out the window spotting a few humans. "And there they are, in their natural habitat. No concern for the nature they destroy but seem to care a lot when someone gets their coffee orders wrong." She joked softly.

"There are some humans who are very conservative." He said.

"Whatever that means." She shrugged

He chuckled and pulled up to the butcher shope.

Kro glared out the window at the butcher shop.

"You don't have to come in. I'll pick up the meat." He said. He kissed her head. "I'll be right back." Rylee said.

"Okay." She nodded and sat back in the seat

Rylee left. He walked into the butcher shope. A few minuets later he came back with the butcher following with two coolers. The set the coolers in the back of the truck.

"Is all that for Colton?" Kro rolled down the window and leaned out.

"Not just for him but a lot of it yeah. He does some of his own hunting too. He needs to eat almost three times as much meat as humans." He said softly. He noticed some one listening. "But you know, he's half wolf with the brains of a dog." He laughed.

"Just don't put it near my food." She smiled before sitting back inside

"You know I don't."

Kro reached over and opened the driver's side door for him

He smiled and stepped in. "Next the grocery." he said. "We need to pick up more fruits and veggies  those damned snaked of doom's destroyed all the garden land."

"I'll definitely come in for this one." She said

"Good." He smiled. He drove up the road a bit and stopped at the market. He got out and went top her side. he opened the door and offered her his hand.
