Akaru slept quietly, his breathing a little faster than usual.

"alright then. So be it." Hoss smiled.

Wolf whimpered. He got a wet cloth and put it on Akaru's forehead.

(Haha, Wolf literally just told Akaru he has feelings for him. XD)

Akaru stirred and shifted a little bit at the cloth

Wolf sighed watching him. he walks into the bathroom and closes the door. He looks at the monsterous form in the mirror. He lifts the damaged arm slowly and looks at the small bite mark on his rib cage, covered by his matted fur. He whimpered and looked at his eyes. "Not blood shot..." he said thankfully as he lowered his arm back and winced in pain,

Akaru woke up slowly, opening his eyes and feeling groggy. His vision was a bit blurred for a moment before everything finally came into focus and he sat up.

He could see wolf Currled up, next to the couch he laid on.

[but my leg hurts pretty badly whenever I walk for too long, cause I fell down the stairs some months ago like an idiot.]
[Oh and I also got my first paycheck today, unfortunately I won't see a penny of my first 2 pay checks because they have to go to rent, bus passes, and debt]

"Wolf are you okay?" Akaru asked, trying to stand up but he felt too weak to.

(I remember you telling me that.) (Darn, I'm sorry.)

Wolf slowly lifted his head. "I-I'm fine." He said.

"No you're not, your eyes are starting to look bloodshot. Were you bitten?" He asked.

He was silent for a second. "No, It must just be stress.' he said.

"Tell me the truth Wolf." He said sternly

Wolf looked away. "Yes." He whispered. "At first I didn't think I was, I thought the sour smell was their blood matted in my fur...but then I noticed it wasn't just my fur...My side started to hurt too...I don't wanna die." Wolf shook.

"Maybe you're immune, like me...." Akaru said, not looking at all hopeful

"No. I've got blood shot eyes...I'm suddenly feeling week. I really just want to sleep, and I'm getting really hungry..." Wolf said.

"What do we do then?" Akaru asked

"The right thing..." He trailed of swallowing. "P-Put me down." He said.

"No...I can't do that." Akaru said, his voice unsteady. "You'll be fine."

Nyla nodded " Let's get this over with. "

"I'm only gonna last a hour at least. Three more if I'm lucky." Wolf said softly. "B-but promise me that you'll put me down before I turn...okay?"

"After you." He smiled.

"No, no we'll figure something out...." Akaru said.

Wolf didn't look hopeful.

Nyla nodded and went in. She took a deep breath trying to be confident.

"If I'm immune we can look for a cure." Akaru said.

"Akaru..." He sighed. "It's not like I have long though..." he looked down.
