"Nothing, nothing is wrong" Jacob replied a little too quickly

Ellie was the first to wake up, and panicked slightly as she felt someone around her. After a few breaths, the fog in her mind cleared; she realized it was Ben and she was fine. With a soft smile, she just closed her eyes again. It wasn't like they could do much more.

Drac smiled and kissed her back.

"I know when your lying." She told Jacob.

Nuka looked at her. "Did you know when he was Alive?" He asked.

Ben shifted when she woke. He moved his arm slightly.

Ellie just laid there, wide awake but not sleeping. She thought of how much she would love to get out of that cave, but maybe not right that moment.

Ben shifted and groaned. "Uh?" He groaned He blinked opened and looked down seeing Ellie. His face turned bright red. He jerked and sat up suddenly. "Ellie, I'm sorry." He stuttered.

Ellie hadn't really thought of the situation as embarrassing, but the moment he showed that he was flustered she felt so too. "It's fine." She was still tense from the sudden movement.

"He noticed her stiffen. He placed his hand on her shoulder. "Hey I didn't mean to scare you." He said. He cupped her jaw.

In retrospect, it did not seem smart to calm someone who was reacting to physical contact with more physical contact. "I'm not scared. Startled, maybe." She said childishly.

"I just didn't think I'd wake up holding you..." Ben said. He leaned in and kissed her again.

Ellie remained tenses throughout the kiss, telepathically apologizing for doing so. The kissing situation reminded her of when you discover something for the first time. Like when you see a crack on a ceiling, and then everytime you looked at the ceiling, all you see is the crack, even though you've never seen it before.

"It's just.... Sam is with the Dochos and I'm still with the Aleks. He tortured me and then mentioned your name and..... I got angry at him, then he took me here and... It's just too much. I know Doom sent you to your death, but I can't leave the Aleks. I have to protect my friends from his chaos. I have to protect everyone who made me feel welcome and... I don't think Storm even thought twice before leaving and abandoning the rest of us. If he had stayed after his cover was blown... I was going to ask him to help me overthrow Doom from the inside, but he left me and everyone else without thinking of the consequences. Now Anna is being used by Doom because he left an he Sao he doesn't even remember her! I-... I don't know what to do, and now I also know that you died and..." He broke out into sobs

"I love you so much..." She whispered, slidding her hands down his back.

Ben shifted and pulled her closer deepening the kiss just a little bit.

Drac pulled her closer.

"Jacob..." She said she reached for his jaw but her hand fizzled when it touched his Jaw. "I-I'm sorry." She cried.

She slid her hands to the small of his back.

That's when Ellie had to break the kiss and step away a little. "I'm sorry." Her apology was sincere. "It's just..." Too much.

"It's okay." Ben said. "I wont push you." Ben said steeping back as well. He walked over to the chest and opened it. Laughter came from outside the door. Ben growled. He reached in and pulled out a bag. "We have a bag of rice, a can of chilli, a pack of old crackers, a bottle of rum, and a pack of dried meat along with a deep pot and a small pan." Ben said. "Oh and another change of clothes for you." He said.

Drac ran a hand along the side of her body.

(I always try to think like I'm the characters when I write something, and during that I was trying to think like Strife and damn that was emotional! Writing it while imagining myself as him almost made me cry, along with all the other thoughts I know he is really thinking and it's just messed up)

Strife looked at her hand, "Why couldn't you still be alive?..." He cried harder, "Why did it have to happen this way?"

Ellie felt self conscious at the laughter. She wondered if there was a way to hurt them from in there, but decided that there was, unfortunately, not. "I don't need another change, though?" It was too cold in there to so much as sweat, so her clothes were fine besides being too big.

"I know just letting you know." Ben said. He looked at the door. "They have to leave soon." He said smiling sadly.

"So do we." Ellie pointed out.

"We'll be fine." Ben said kissing her forehead. He brushed her hair behind her ear. He dug into the chest and pulled out a ukelely.

"You know I can't stand to see you this way. Please don't cry" Strife said even though he knew they weren't really tears

Ellie smiled softly at the small actions. "A ukulele?" She asked.

"I remember putting this in here." Ben smiled he sat down. "Any requests?" He asked.

She wipped her face. "I'm sorry. I love you Jake."
