She smiled warmly up at him. "Okay." She squeezed his hand.

"Yeah.............I......just wanted to wait until I knew he was safe to tell him. I didn't show any signs until very late into the pregnancy, and by then Jax and I didn't have any time to be together. So I kept it a secret. That's why I was taking my lunches in my room. So I wasn't noticed taking extra food back with me." Deryn said, letting Kyla down. The toddler started exploring the room.

(What if Deryn and Nuka went to Dox's lab and Kyla followed them, and then Kyla in all her infinite toddlerian curiosity drinks one of Dox's unfinished concoctions and because it wasn't finished makes Kyla grow very quickly and her brain matures much more quickly than it should and Deryn starts to break down because it wasn't supposed to be that way and Nuka has to comfort her?)

One man turned and knocked on the door. "My Lord, Strife is here to talk to you." He said. The moans suddenly stopped and there was silence.

Drac smiled and walked with her.

"So was Kyla born when he was alive?" He asked.

As she walked with him outside, she couldn't help but glance back at Drew's flowers.

"He'll always be with us." He said.

"No.............She was born just after he died." Nuka said.

(You seem reluctant.)

He nodded.

[I really dont care.] You know what we can say that when she was captuered and mutated it caused the child to develop faster than normal. That would explain why she is so old but so young.]

Deryn smiled and took his hand in hers. "You do realize you have to wait for a while to finish with me right?" She asked.

Nuka nodded sadly.

"I know." she whispered, forcing tears back and smiling.

Deryn laughed at his sad smile. "Hey, you should pace yourself, unless you wanna run outta steam." She said.

He smiled. "Yeah I know..." Nuka chuckled.

Drac kissed her forehead.

Deryn smiled. "C'mon, I'm tired. And she's already asleep, so we're okay." She said, pointing to the little sleeping bundle on the ground.

Nuka picked her up and set her on the couch. "Okay lets go." Nuka said. He took her hand and lead her to the bed.

Deryn stood up and pulled him on to the bed. She almost immediately fell asleep.

Nuka wrapped his arms around her and was a sleep soon too.

Strife waited

The door flew open then closed. Doom steeped out his robe around him. "Where the hell have you been!? You go after Storm or something!?"

Doom reached out and took the scarf. He felt the fabric in his hands. "How did you kill him?" He asked.

Deryn woke up and looked at what used to be a sleeping bundle on the ground. "Wha?" She said, looking at the small girl then. Sure, it'd been quick before, but it hadn't gone more than 2 months quicker than it should've before. She nudged Nuka, still staring at the child. "Stop staring at me." Kyla said, her voice eerily deep and the fact that she knew Deryn was looking at her even when she wasn't looking at Deryn was even more creepy.

Nuka sat up. "What's wrong?' Heasked groggily.
