Kirin did end up looking surprised, "Wow, did it really?? Hmm, though I suppose you are probably still freezing" she started and hurried her pace a little to get them back to the room before she got TOO cold. "Though, maybe it knows something about the dying forests"

"We should find it... Ulmis said something about someone named Lockwood." Kro said, looking back down the hallway as they went back to the main room.

The shadows quickly followed him. They grabbed his leg as other shadows attacked Char.

Rhett stopped and tried to shake the shadows off his leg

Char fired some light to burn away at the shadows going after Rhett

Kirin paused for a moment and looked back too. She sighed, "It may be best to wait for now, we can ask Ulmis about it when we get back to the room, then we can check it out once you've warmed up and we've all had a moment to breath" she suggested with a soft smile, her eyes already looking a little worn

Kro nodded and walked with Kirin. "Are you alright?" She asked after a while.

Ulmis turned around as Kirin and Kro got back to the room. "There you are. I think it would be best if you went upstairs to bed and got some rest. There's a fireplace by the bed upstairs as well." They said to Kro.

Kirin nodded and gave her a reassuring smile. "Ahh, and there you go, it would be a good idea to rest for now" she agreed

"Okay." Kro didn't argue with it while normally she would. She was just cold and tired and not in the mood to be her typical difficult self. She let Ulmis lead her upstairs to one of the bedrooms.

Kirin smiled softly before dropping to the floor and sitting up against the wall.

"There are chairs you know." Ulmis nodded to the two couches and arm chair when they came back downstairs.

More shadows grabbed Rhett. A shadow broke through and hit Char.

Kirin flushed and chuckled sheepishly, "Sorry, I just didn't want to be rude." She got to her feet and moved over to one of the couches and nodded to Ulmis, "Thank you"

Char fell over and rolled onto her back, quickly firing more seering light at the shadows.

Ulmis went off to another room and came back with a few cups of hot chocolate. They handed one cup to the boy and another to Kirin, sitting down beside Kirin on the couch.

Kirin's face lit up as Ulmis handed her the hot cocoa, "Oh my gosh, thank you!"

The shadow kept shooting at her. Riley ran up with a roar, his body soully fire. He slashed at the shadows with large claws.

"Good thing we stocked up on food recently." Ulmis chuckled. "I'm the only one that eats here so it's rare to have a lot of food."

Rhett felt back, struggling against the shadows.

"Riley!" Char yelled out, relieved.

Kirin blinked in surprise as she sipped her cocoa. "Really?" she asked curiously

"Yep, everyone else here is a ghost or at least not human... anymore..." Ulris sipped her cup.

Kirin sat forward curiously, "Just let me know if I start pushing boundaries, but what do you mean by that?"

"I mean there are only two people here who aren't ghosts. Me, and my friend." Ulmis said. "My friend doesn't like being around living people very much and I think you'd freak out if you saw him anyway."

Kirin sipped her cocoa again and raised an eyebrow, "I don't know, I've seen a lot of different things, though, I suppose you have too"

"No not really. I've been out to the closest town a couple times but other than that I've never left this place in my whole life." Ulmis said.

"What??" Kirin asked in total shock. "Then there must be some 'strange' stuff going on here for you to have been so calm about a person just disappearing into thin air"

"My friend is strange. And I'm a half-human, half-demon who lives with ghosts. I'm not too surprised by strange stuff but I haven't seen someone disappear like that before. Are you a demon?" Ulmis asked

Riley ripped through the shadows attacking Char first then went after Rhett's shadows.
