"Yes." Lockwood nodded slightly, rubbing his wrists and glad to have the chains off.

Kirin's heart sank. "This knife," she started, changing the subject a touch, "I want to take it out, but It's going to hurt quite a lot," she warned, going a bit British for a moment

"Make it quick." Lockwood said.

Kirin tor off a lengthy strip of her cloak before quickly pulling out the knife

Lockwood tensed but mostly didn't react. He stood up and tried to move a bit after having been stuck staying still for two days.

Kirin held out her hand to make sure he wouldn't fall. "Do you mind if I wrapped where the knife was? It'll just take a moment" she promised

"Okay." He held her arm and stood steady.

Kirin took the strip of her cloak and carefully wrapped it around the wound. When she was satisfied that it was secure, she looked towards Ignace. Her eyes were filled with concern and suspicion. What could have kept Ulmis out for so long? "Lockwood, would you be willing you come with us to the base? I know you're not fond of it, but it would be much safer than here. You can rest there, Ignace and I can go out and look for Ulmis"

"Better the house than going down to the city..." Lockwood sighed.

"Kirin, we have enough missing people already, I don't think we can spend the time to go looking for Ulmis, we barely know them. We should leave a note in case Ulmis comes back here." Ignace said.

Kirin cast a crestfallen gaze onto Ignace, "I know, and your probably right. We can leave a note, but if there is no sign of Ulmis in a few days, I'm going out to look for them" she said. "And Kro left on her own, if Charlotte and Riley find her, they'll run into each other and hopefully all make it back."

"I trust Ulmis is fine." Lockwood said.
Ignace pulled a piece of paper out from his coat pocket and wrote out a brief note. He went to put the note in the living area.

"I certainly hope so," she said softly. "Alright, let's get you out of here," she said and strated off, keeping hold of Lockwood

Lockwood followed Kirin, needing her to guide him but he could tell exactly where she was using his ability to read her mind.
Ignace waited for them in the hall and led the way out.

"Alright, here we are," Kirin said as she led Lockwood up the stairs of the porch

Lockwood tripped on the stairs but caught himself. "This will take some getting used too." he said.

Ignace opened the door and Charlotte and Rhett were standing in the living room. "Thank god! Now we're only missing three!" Rhett exclaimed.
"No one is leaving the house until Riley gets back." Charlotte said.

Kirin blinked, startled by Rhett and Charlotte's reactions, "My apologies, we really didn't mean to worry you" she smiled softly. "I'm glad you made it back, Charlotte"

"And of course you've brought home another stranger." Charlotte said, staring at Lockwood. "I don't even think I'm going to ask at this point... I'm going to bed. Rhett is in charge for now since all of you are newbies." She sighed and went up the stairs.

Kirin smiled sheepishly before sighing quietly as Charlotte walked up the stairs. "Don't mind her, she's been out searching all night, she must be flustered and tired" she said to Lockwood.

Lockwood just nodded and Ignace led him over to a chair to sit down.

"I think we're all tired..." Rhett remarked. "There are always plenty of spare rooms upstairs to take your pick." he said to Lockwood and Mehra.

Kirin nodded to Rhett's remark and leaned against the wall, "It's about time we all got some rest"

Ignace took Mehra and lifted her off the couch, taking her upstairs.

"I don't sleep but I'd like a room to myself." Lockwood said

"Follow me, we can find you one," she suggested and took hold of his arm to guide him

He followed her, taking the steps slowly. Rhett followed behind them.

After they reached the top, Kirin turned and led Lockwood down the hall and to one of the rooms.
