"Meaning you asked him to be rough?" She asked.

Jonas paced.

Sky packed all of her valuables. Everything she needed and wanted, not sure if she would ever come back. Of course she didn't want to leave Ashton, but she couldn't stay here if he chose to stay with the Sabers. So she packed two duffel bags worth of things and hoisted them over her shoulders and began making her way towards the door.
"Skylar?"
She froze, then slowly turned around to see Ashton in the doorway of his bedroom, frowning.
"What are you . . . " His gaze scanned her bags, then slid up to her face. "You're leaving?"
"Ashton . . . I can't be a Saber anymore." she said quietly.
"What do you mean?"
She tightened her grip on the straps of her bags. "I mean that I don't want to live this way anymore. The Sabers are cruel. Chase is cruel. I'm done with this life."
Ashton's expression tightened. "Skylar, you can't just leave. Not after all we've been through. Do you think Chase will let you leave so easily? Besides, what about avenging Mom and Dad?"
"Their deaths were an awful crime, but two rebel Gargoyles did it. They weren't told to do it. And as for Chase, that asswipe can go to Hell. I'm done playing his games." she turned and walked bluntly towards the door, managing to open it and step out of the doorway before Ashton grabbed her arm to stop her.
"Skylar, what about staying together? We're all we have left." His grip tightened. "Or have those Gargoyles brainwashed you?"
"Let go of me, Ash."

"Awe, well fine then." Chase said as he pulled away.

*Watches intently*

She nods. "Of course."

Karin notices some commotion, and moves closer, so she could see what's happening.

She chuckled. "That's interesting. He never liked to be rough before." She said.

"No, I'm not just letting you throw everything away. I'm not letting those damn Gargoyles take you from me too!" He began trying to drag her back inside.
"Let go of me!" Skylar tried to pull roughly away, but the bags on her back were so heavy.
"No, Skylar! You're staying home!"
She kicked out at him and caught him in the shin, managing to yank her arm out of his grip. "No! I'm sick of living in this Hell! I'm sick of watching people die! I'm sick of being trapped! And nobody, not even you, can contain me!" she snarled and she began running down the driveway of her apartment.
She was just thinking she had gotten away when she felt strong arms wrap around her chest from behind, holding her tightly and securely.

Val laid back down on the bed and watched Chase for a moment.

Chase left her room nodding good night.

"He wasn't very creative though. We ended up playing a game."

Karin sees the exchange between Ashton and Skylar, and darts toward the two siblings.

she laughed. "Tad never was." She smiled. "He's got the mind of a killer, not a lover." She smirked.

Val fell asleep after a while.

Kanon chuckles. "That's true. But it was a pretty fun game."

"Ashton, let me go!" She hissed. "I don't want to leave you, but I can't be a Saber anymore!"
Ashton held on tightly. "We're family, we're all we have left!"
"Then come with me! We can leave the Sabers together!"
"To go to the gang responsible for the slaughter of our parents?!" Ashton growled, pulling her back.

Mika laughed. "He still hasn't forgotten how to ride either...a horse I mean." She smirked. Her smiled faded away. "Listen, about Tad, don't get too close to him."

Karin comes up from behind, a knife out. She quickly places the knife around his neck, holding him to her. "Release the girl," she whispers in his ear.

Kanon looks sad. "Trust me, when I say I'll never get close to any male."

Orville walked around the crowd of people in the warehouse looking for Chase.

He went still, but still maintained his grip on Skylar. "She's my sister. I don't have To."

"Oh, you do if you want to keep your life. Now, let her go. She has the right to choose what she wants to do in life, and you have no right to stop her."

"And I suppose you're one of her Gargoyle 'friends'? Trying to act all goody so you can use her or kill her like you guys did our parents?" He spat. "And kill me, and she'll want nothing to do with you."

Chase was talking to some goons by his throne.

"I'm only telling you this because I want to keep you from being hurt." She said looking to her. "Tad's...tad's so broken. He finds sport in death and also pain in it. Did you know, he keeps a single bone from every person he had ever killed." She asked.

Orville walked up to Chase, waiting for their conversation to finish before saying what was on his mind.

Karin snorts. "I'm not stupid enough to kill you. Anyway, I like little Skylar. She's adorably cute, and reminds me of my own baby sister who's roughly her age."

Kanon chuckles. "Trust me. I'm just as broken as Tad. I was raped when I was 14. Feeling as dirty as I did, I started whoring myself out to keep my sisters safe, and to put food on the table. Once found by the gang at 15, I continued to whore myself out, and became a stripper, as well as an assassin."

Chase dismissed the men.

Mika hugged her. "Darling that's okay."

"Of course, it was at that point that I decided, men were not to be trusted. You can only look to yourself to protect those you love, and you never trust your heart to any man, because they'll eventually break it. That was a little over 15 years ago, and I still keep to it, yet at the same time, I can't help but wonder what it's like to fall in love."

"Ashton . . . Let me go." Skylar said quietly, drawing Ashton's attention. He slowly released her, and she turned to him, the chilly breeze tossing her hair.
"Look . . . I don't want to leave you. I don't. But I have to leave the Sabers, and as long as you're a Saber, I can't live with you." She said softly. "And I know what I'm doing. Don't think I'd blindly run into the arms of an enemy. I'm a spy, after all." She took a deep breath. "But I'm going to go. And you can't stop me. You're my brother Ash, and I love you, but can't you understand I do this anymore? I don't want to kill or see people die."
"Skylar . . "
"I'm sorry, but I have to go. And until you learn that this isn't the life for you either, I can't stay with you." She turned away from him. "Text me when you want. For for now . . . goodbye."
