Nicky chuckled, "Somehow that doesn't surprise me"

(Remember something though, the other world is older than this one and since Slade and Baze are almost Nicky's age then they are somewhere between 15-30 years younger than the other Nicky. This explains a lot later when you learn what Slade meant about the process of getting Emil back later.)

Slade smiled. "You and Emil practically raised me in the other dimension, but Baze wasn't there for the longest time. When you first met Baze and saw how we were you said that."

Baze looked at Slade, "Really, I didn't know that they did that..."

Slade nodded, "Yeah, when I got lost when I was 4 they found me"

Baze looked down

Nicky gazed at the two and smiled softly. She rested a hand on each brother's shoulder, "I may not be the Nicky you know, but I can already see why I was fond of you two."

[*Grabs popcorn* Oh boy, I don't know if I'm excited or terrified about that]

Nicky grinned, seeing them smile, they really were so much like her brothers

Nicky shook her head and decided to try an change the subject a bit. "D-did you two know of a little boy and a little girl that might have been with us?" she asked

Slade looked thoughtful for a moment, "They weren't living with you anymore. You didn't tell me their names but I saw pictures of them"

Their image flashed in her mind again and she smiled fondly, "I guess I liked remembering them as toddlers"
