Guardians (RP thread)

"...The guardian trainer...?" Fallon says tentatively. "The Dragkin trains the new Guardians, as he or she has the knowledge and power of all the guardians combined...."

" Being a pain in the ass." Sam mumbked.

Azriel started laughing loudly. "I like her answer." he said pointing to Sam.

Rayyan nodded. "Yes, but how do Dragkins become more powerful than humans?" He asked.

"Let's take this a step back. "What does the name Dragkin mean?" Orrik asked.

Sam sighed bored already.

Fallon frowns. She'd been looking through the books, she couldn't even understand just about all of them. She hugs River like a teddy bear as she thought about it.

"Dragkin means, Dragon's kin. Dragkins gain their power after a dragon shares it's soul with a human. This can only happen if a human defeats a dragon." Azriel said bored.

"Dragons only share their souls with pure humans. To be come a Dragkin, one doesn't slay the dragon. They allow them to live. The dragon will then share it's soul with a human. However if the human kills the dragon, they receive the whole soul. 90% of the time when this happens, the human will burst into flames. At other times the soul will become corrupt making a demi-demon." Orrik said.

"Dragon's also only share their soul with a "fit" human." Rayyan said. "Ajax, is not "fit" for a dragon to share their soul with."

"...So Ajax isn't sharing a soul with a dragon?"

Sam stood listening.

"No I'm not." he said reaching up to his right eye. He pulled out the purple stone that desqused itself as an eye. "This a a dragon stone. It's a gem blessed by a dragon allowing anyone who holds the stone the abilities of a dragon." He said holding the purple stone up.

"There is a second reason no dragon will share it's soul with Ajax, who wants to guess why?" Azriel asked.

" He's missing an eye?" Sam asked.

Fallon had no answers.

"Yes being born without an eye is one reason but what do you think number two is." Azriel asked.

Sam didn't answer.

Fallon just decides to listen.

"Ajax here is half demon." Azriel said.

"That's why no dragon will share it's soul with him." Orrik said.

"Most were willing to see past the missing eye, but being a son of a blood demon meant he could become corput." Ray said.

" Then why is he a dragkin? " Sam asked

Fallon looks at Ajax, before looking back to the guardians.

Ajax looked down. Part of him looked broken, and weak. "Because he is." Rayyan said gently. "That answer will come in time."

"I'd just be glad you have a Dragkin in fact."

" if to be a dragkin you have to be fit. Then why would the dragkin be born unfit? " Sam asked. She didn't see the since of having an unfit dragkin when there was only one every so often.

Fallon listens.

"Just leave it..." Azriel said angrily.

"No, Azriel, it's fine. They have a right to know." He said. "I was originally never suppose to be a Dragkin. " Ajax said. "Hell I wasn't suppose to live. My mother gave me to a priest to exercise the demon, out of me." He said. "In other words kill me. But the priest couldn't. I was saved by a young student of his, The first selection to be a dragkin." Azriel said.

Fallon's eyes were wide.

" So you weren't born to be a dragkin, like how we." She pointed to the training guardian's. " We're born to be guardians."

"Correct. I'm a mistake. In fact I was the last choice of seven to be a dragon." Ajax said. "I was also the youngest of them all." He said. "The reason you're stuck with a half demon as your Dragkin is because I got the other six killed." He said.

" how?" Sam asked
