Kirin chuckled, "Well you have a good point there, and yep, it's been a LONG time since I became one, but I don't run into very many people like yourself"

Rhett tried to grab the shadows and pull them off

"My dad was a demon. My mother was a human, and she's one of the ghosts that live here." Ulmis said

Kirin whistled, "How was it growing up for you?"

"My mom froze to death just out in the forest when I was a baby. It was my friend who found me before I froze too and raised me. He's not a very good parent but he gets me food and everything I need, and even though my mom's a ghost I've always had her around too." They said.

(Sorry I flat out disappeared... I had to deal with some shit offline and needed a moment)

Kirin smiled softly, swirling her hot cocoa, thoughtful

[man, I'm sorry, I have to head out, goodnight guys!

Ulmis sipped their hot chocolate as well. "Do you want to meet my friend?" They asked.

Alec was in there and listening the whole time.

The shadows slipped through his hands. Riley bounded over him and his light burned the shadows away.

Rhett sighed in relief and laid back to rest. "Thank you Riley."

He nodded with a large growl. "You both okay?"

"A little bruised, but I'll be fine." Rhett got up slowly
Char walked over and nodded.

"You both okay?" Riley asked.

"Yes, you already asked that." Char said.

"I just want to make sure." Riley said. He took a step away from them and sighed.

Rhett and Char started walking for the house. "Did you find Kro?" She asked

He shook hishead. "No, not colton either." He hung his head. "This is my fault. I still have to find them. Stay here." He said. "Keep 'em safe Char."

Char nodded and took Rhett inside quickly

Riley started to walk back and into the forest. As he reached the forest line shadows shot up and pierced into his hide, knocking him onto his back. A large shadow arm came up from the ground and wrapped around his neck, slowly pushing.

Kirin nodded, "If it's not too much trouble, I'd actually be delighted to"

"Alright, follow me." Ulmis stood up and set the empty cup down on the couch they were just sitting on. They led Kirin down the nearest hall. "He should be around here somewhere...Hey Lockwood!" Ulmis called out

Char stood by the window while Rhett sat down on the couch, tired.

Kirin poked her head around Ulmis's figure to try to spot him

"There's someone else with you..." A voice said back down the hallway.
"Don't be such a wimp, she won't bite." Ulmis said.
There was a sigh and a black figure came out of the shadows down the hallways and walked forward. It was a dark cloudy figure in the shape of a human with only one yellow eye glowing on it's face.

Kirin blinked at him curiously before stepping along side Ulmis and smiling, "Hey, I'm Kirin" she greeted

He looked Kirin up and down suspiciously for a moment. "Hi...." He said. He wore some more old-fashioned clothing and his arms and head didn't seemed to be attached fully to his body. He was some strange mixture of a ghost and a corporeal being, and skinny as a skeleton.
