Val lifted her legs on either side of Chase's hips.

"Good." Jonas said. He took her hand, come on." He whispered.

Sakura hands her a sharp knife and the vegetables.

She tightened her hand around and and nodded.

Jonas stood up and pulled her up with him. He kissed her and pulled her along outside.

Mia started to cut the carrots.

After feeling a bit pleasantly dazed after his kiss, she followed him outside and glanced around. "Any idea where he could've gone?" She murmured.

Kanon preps the meat, whilst Yuki and Sakura sort out the mash.

"Well, I know of one place, if he didn't go home. Andhe only goes to this place when something bad happened. And he talked in private to Hunk so something bad happened." He said. He took her hand and started to lead her down the street. He stayed back far enough away from Tad, his coat flowing out behind him as he moved quickly.

Mia quickly cut the veggies.

Skylar tightened her hold on Jonas. What had happened? What was so dangerous that Tad didn't want them to see it? "Any idea what could have happened?" She asked him.

"Good job, Mia," Kisa smiles warmly when she finished.

Jonas shook his head. "No, but everyone's touchy since Ivan died." He said as he lead her to the bad part of town.

Mia smiled back happily.

Kisa starts cooking the meat and vegetables. When she finished, the meat was shredded, and everything went into a bowel; meat, veggies and sauce, before the mash was placed on top.

"Now we stick it in the oven for half an hour," Kanon says. "Then it's ready to eat."

"Okay." Mia said smiling.

"Do you want to take some to the hospital after?" Sakura asks Mia.

She tensed, eyeing their surroundings cautiously. "Stay close to me."

Mia smiled and nodded. "YES!"

"I won't ever let you get hurt, I promise." He said. He held her close. He lead her farther and turned into a bar. Tad was sitting at the bar. The place smelled like blood, smoke, sex and alcohol. The bartender walked to Tad. "What do you want?" He asked.
"Something dark, cold and bloody." He said.
"Come with me sir." the tender said as he lead Tad into a back room.

Skylar held on tightly to Jonas's hand. "And I won't let anything happen to you." She murmured, her quartz gaze following Tad and the bartender to the back.

They both walked in and only the tender walked back. "I have an idea, play along." Jonas said as he let go of her hand and walked over to the bar.

She nodded and glanced around before slowly following.

Jonas walked up to the bar and sat down, "a bourbon on the rocks for me and a cosmo for her." He said nodding to Skylar.
The tender looked at him. "You old enough to be drinking?"
Jonas growled and slammed his fists down into the bar and rose up angrily. "DO I LOOK LIKE I NEED TO BE CARDED?" He snarled loudly.
"Alright, alright, simmer down." He said as he walked off. Jonas sat down again with a huff.

She slipped into the stool next to Jonas and leaned back, shifting her expression into one of boredom as she casually inspected her nails, acting like her presence was normal.

The tender came back with the drinks. He handed them to them. Jonas downed his.

Skylar took hers and took a swig, giving a small nod at the taste. It wasn't the first time she had drank. When you have hard times and are running around with gangs, it's not uncommon to drown yourself in drinks to try to forget all you've seen.

Jonas smirked over at her. "That taste good babe?" He smirked.

She smirked back and raised her glass. "Hell yeah it does."
