It was only when they passed an area displaying bright sunshine did Ashton truly notice the bruises on her. “Sky! What the hell happened to you?”

Skylar held her arm behind her back. She had thought she had put on enough makeup to hide the bruises on her neck and her cuts, besides, she was wearing a turtleneck sweater too. “Nothing. Don’t worry about it.”

Ashton grabbed her arm and pulled it out from behind her, causing her to wince and pull it away. Her sleeve had ridden up enough to display the bandages around her wrist. “Jesus Christ, Sky. Tell me what happened!”

She sighed. “I was attacked by a Saber last night...”

He growled. “What?!”

Jonas saw him grab here and rose from where he stood.

“Everything’s fine now. He’s dead.”

“But you’re still hurt! Do you know who he was?”

She looked across the pond in the park. “He looked familiar, but I couldn’t be recall a name.”

Ashton ran a hand through his tousled hair. “Jesus, Sky. I’m sorry this happened to you...I’ll let Chase know—“

She shook her head rapidly. “No! Everything is okay now! I don’t want Chase coming after Jonas for killing him.”

His eyes widened. “Your little boyfriend killed him?”

“Yeah. That Saber was going to do awful things to me, Ash.”

Kisa just grins.

Jonas was watching closely, he still didn't go after.

Tad smiled gently. "Are you hungry?" He asked the little girl.

“Sky . . . I’m sorry you got hurt. I’m sorry I wasn’t there . . . “ Ashton said softly.

She shook her head. “It’s not your fault.” She stepped forward and hugged him tight, and he hugged her back just as tightly, knowing he probably wouldn’t have much longer.

"We have food in the fridge that can be heated up."

Jonas crouched back down.

She shook her head. "I wanna do something fun!" She smiled.

“Ashton? Is something wrong?”

He pulled back. “No, of course not.”

She frowned and peered up at him. “I feel like you’re not telling me something.”

“No, everything’s fine.” If she knew he might die soon, she would endanger herself by going after Chase or not leaving his side.

"Like what?" Kanon asks.

"We could go to the zoo?" Mia asked gently.

Jonas sighed and seeing they where fine, decided to go back to the Dragon's Den.

After a bit more arguing and walking around together, the siblings departed and Skylar went back to the bar, her gaze troubled. Ash wasn’t telling her something.

"Is that all you want to do?"

Jack noticed her worry in her face when she walked in. "What's wrong pumpkin?" He asked.

"Mia nodded gently. "yeah!" She chirped.

“Oh it’s nothing. Don’t worry about it.” She have a small smile.

"Are you sure you don't want to eat anything?"

"You're lying." He said. "I hate liars."

"Ohm....Grilled Cheese." She said.

She sighed. “I’m just worried about my brother. He’s keeping something from me.”

“Alright. We’ll bring grilled cheese too. How about we add macaroni cheese to that?”

"We can send someone to check on him." Jack offered.

"YEAH!" Mia cheered.
"Calm down, don't be too loud."

“But what if Chase sees them? That wouldn’t end well.”

"We have men in there already, we can just have one of them check on him or at least keep an eye on him."

“Thank you.” She said softly.

"It's fine," Sakura says quietly. "It's been a long time since we've had kids shouting around here."

"It's still impolite... remember inside voices." He said to the little girl.
"Okay Taddy." She smiled.

"Of course Honey." Jack smiled as she left.
