Guardians (RP thread)

"Well I should tell you Raymond here can use air too." she said pointing to him.

Both brothers stopped what they were doing. "what?" Orrik said.

"Yeah show them." Sam said wanting Mondi to show them.

Mondi swallowed stiffly. "Uhm... Siga." He said the word for sight. His eyes shifted color slightly and he fell back screaming crawling away from them.
Orrik lifted a hand. "Vlagas!" He said as he pointed to Mondi who suddenly fell asleep.

"What happened?" she asked looking around curiously.

"He used an ancient Demon word for site it shows the soul. Human souls can only last for so long when possessed. The longer they are possessed for the more demonic the soul looks and becomes. He saw our souls in an unnatural way."

"Oh." Sam nodding.

"Get him inside." Orrik said and Twiggy walked over and picked up the passed out Mondi.

" well I got them here." Sam said to Orrick and Ariel.

"Yeah good job, but we still aren't any closer to finding out what is going on and whtly Mondi can use air. Unless..." Azriel grew silent and looked to Orrik. "He can't be..."
Orriks eyes went wide in shock. "no..."

" What?" Sam asked.

"Rayyan is dying." Orrik said as Azriel sat down.

" What!?!?" Sam gasped in shocked.

"It's the only thing that makes sense. It makes sense as to why the boy has powers. Rayyans body is starting to fail and the soul of Heaven is leaving him donuts going to the next most compatible soul, Raymond's." Orrik said.
"He can't be dying... It's too early!" Azriel growled.
"The Heaven guardian is always the first one to die." Orrik whispered.

" why didn't he tell me this?" Sam asked hurt plain in her voice

" Maybe it's a new development that he doesn't know about yet." Orrik said.

" I was just with him, and mondi said these powers came to him a month ago." Sam said in disbelief.

Orrik and Azriel looked to each other. "That would mean he started to die a month ago." Azriel said thinking as he looked to Orrik. "Is that why he had her stop me last week when I was raged?" He asked.

"It would make sense... If he's losing some of his abilities, he can't sense and see souls well without assistance." Orrik sighed.

Sam shook her head not believing what she was hearing. Tears started eel well up in her eyes. Now she was wondering if the only reason he told her that he liked her was because he's dieing.

Ajax walked out and smacked The two of them on the top of their heads. "Stop it now. Your stressing out Sam." He said as he wrapped her in a hug. "so what of Rayyan is dying? He has about 3 years until he loses all his abilities and about 20 before his body actually fails him." He said. "for all we know these kids could be the reason he is weakened. Maybe them being here is causing the Souls to chose bodies, and with Rayyan being Heaven and heaven's body being the first to fail it searched for a reacement and what better replacement than the same soul." Ajax said as he lifted Sam to look at him. "Rayyan will be fine, dont worry or rush." Ajax said. "We need to find answers." He said.

" but what if we don't find answers?" She asked " what if it is a shorter time... And when he does loose his powers us he sepriable to normal human diseases?" So many questioned ran through her head.

"Sam, he will be fine." Ajax said wiping her tears. "Rayyan may be dying, but he is still favored by God and the Realms." He said. "Don't stress so much or think so much." He said as Orion walked over to them. The small child looked up at him, transfixed by something.

Sam frowned still not feeling any better, now she was just worrying about Rayyan.

"Your a monster." Orion said to Ajax.
"Uhm..."
"Can I feel your face..." Orion asked.
Ajax raised an eyebrow. "Sure...?

Sam watched wondering what will transpire.
