" so you used me?" She said unable to hide the pain in her voice.

Zolt hung his head but slowly nodded.

" why? If you didn't want me with Ulrick you could have just old me!" She snapped tears of anger streaming from her eyes. " I put my heart on the line for nothing only for you to crush it?"

Zolt just cowered before her. He reached up and gripped his hair. "I'm sorry. I didn't want it to end like this."

" no wonder you're going crazy the guilt is eating you alive." Lillian hissed glaring at him.

"Of course it is!" Zolt screamed. "It's been eating at me for months! Since Hina was captured!" He shouted, blood starting to well up under his nails as he clawed at his scalp. "I didn't think this would happen." he said as he looked up at her with anger before it quickly flickered into fear. Zolt fell back and started to move away, his body shaking uncontrollably.

Lillian reached for him again taking his hands into hers. " you were in an impossible position." She said softly. " it was either get caught or maintain your cover."

Zolt crawled away from her, panic racing through his mind.

" Zolt." Lillian sighed sitting I front of him. " I get why you did it. You saved yourself. Like any other person would do. "

He looked behind her shaking. "But I should have seen this coming..." He said as he flinched.

" Tam unpredictable." Lillian said softly she just sat there not moving or advancing towards him. " we both know that. "

Zolt looked from behind her to her. "I didn't mean for this..." He said. "I thought the attack had been called off, that the two of you were safe..."

" someone texted us saying it was still on." She explained. " we have no clue who texted us."

Zolt looked at her, tears pouring down his face. "I'm sorry."

" I didn't find out that Tam was dead toll after the explosion... hence why I'm working for Ian's security guard." She sighed.

"I'm sorry."

" it's okay. You didn't known it was going to end this way."

Zolt just cried.

Lillian sighed she just sat where she was.

Zolt moved away from her.

" I'm sorry for snapping... just in the moment what you said really hurt." Lillian apologized. " it's not your fault you didn't know someone else would carry on with tam's work."

Zolt looked at her with saddened eyes. "I'm sorry."

" you are forgiven." Lillian said softly.

"Don't...' he whispered. "Don't forgive me."

" we all deserve it." She told him.
