Scar took her hand and lead her to the door and opened it leading her out and into a short tunnel with a hatch in the cieling. He climbed up the ladder and opened the hatch waiting for her on the other side.

Gabby followed him a bit nervously she had never been outside their borders.

Scar offered her a hand up and helped pull her out of the ground as he let her take in the fact they stood in the skeleton of a building that was trashed and torn to shit.

" this was from the monsters?" Gabby asked looking around.

"The monsters, the raiders, a bit of both." He said.

" the story's are so jumbled now... How did the monsters come here?" Gabby asked.

"No one really know for sure. It's said that humanity was at war with itself and destroyed each other in fire and metal. They destroyed the old towns and villages and humans fled. By the ground ate most the survivors and only few were left. From the fire came the monsters. Changed by the hate of the humans the monsters started to eat the humans in return for their monsterification." Scar said.

"So we don't know how they came here?" Gabby questioned.

"Nope. It's been lost over about...200 years or more maybe." He said.

" weird." Gabby whispered looking around then her gaze stopped on Ian.

Scar looked to the side and smiled at her. "Well, pick a direction and we'll head down that way." He said.

Gabby looked around for a moment before she pointed to her right. " that way?"

Scar nodded and started to lead the way down the old road. "Keep a dagger handy on you." Scar told her. "Just to be safe." He said.

" Okay." She nodded.

"Good." Scar nodded and lead her down the way. They walked past broken down buildings and fallen apart homes. They came to a cross-section in the road. Scar leaned around a corner and pulled back. "Come look at this." He whispered he motioned or her to come over.

Gabby did as he said and came near him. " what?" She whispered back.

He leaned over the corner of the building and nodded to the monster that strode down the old broken road. It was large, probably about 3 feet at the shoulders and was covered in thick black leather. It has a long tail with a large bone sticking out of the end of it. Around the large one's ankles were three smaller ones, barely standing at 6 inches tall, no bones stuck out from the ends of their enormously long tails. The claws of the mother clacked on the concrete as she smelled the air. "It's a Slasher family." Scar said softly.

" I know I shouldn't think that it's sweet but I do..." Gabby whispered.

"You're not the only one." He said gently. "Come on, we should leave so we don't piss mama off."

" Okay." She nodded.

Scar moved back and started to walk the way they came from.

Gabby followed him quietly..

As they turned there was a roar of anger quickly followed by a second.

Gabby froze gripping the back of scars shirt tightly in her hand.

Scar instictively put his body in front of her and backed up against the wall of one of the buildings. A roar like metal scratching echoed through the air. From his back he pulled off one of the blades and it snapped around his arm as he protectively put it in front of his chest. At the cross way of the streets they were just at a large beast walked from the area opposite of the way of the Slashers. The monster was large about 4 feet at the shoulders with a short tail that swished from side to side. Its face was stark white the skin close to the frame making it almost look like the skull was exposed. Around the head and neck was a massive mane of stiff fur that shone with a multitude of colors, almost iridescent in looks. The larger beast cawed out with the metal sounding bark, as it carried itself on it's hind legs. It's front limbs pulled close to the chest. It strode forward a couple steps before it fell onto all fours and stood waiting. "A Peaskull...?" Scar whispered softly as he watched. The Slasher mother had sprinted out from the other way and was whipping her tail from side to side protectively, making sure the spike was ready to strike at the beast. She gave out a warning call as she stood her ground. The newcoming beast tilted it's head and rose back onto it's hind feet as the fur around it's neck stood up on end and built a large frill around it's head, shimmering with different colors. It took a few small steps forward.
