She quickly wipes her eyes and turns, her oddly colored eyes a dead giveaway of her race to anyone even slightly versed in demonic or angelic lore. She laughs almost sarcastically, "As ok as I'll ever be I suppose."

Kirin nodded thoughtfully, "What about when you went back? Some of the other people I've talked to haven't always had the best experiences going home"

"Are you lost or something?" Rhett sat down on the curb beside her, knowing what she was but obviously not scared.

"I was happy enough to be back home, even if I couldn't go visit my family." Iroga said. "Do you have any family?"

"Well if you can be lost when you've no where else to go.. I suppose you would call me lost..." She kicks a small rock on the curb wimpily and sighs.

"Do you need somewhere to stay?" Rhett asked

Her face glows slightly red as she shakes her head, "I have enough money for the little hotel down the road. The hotel was widely known for being rundown and there were rumors of bad things happening to people who stayed there. Her ignorance of this obviously showed that she was new in town.

"Well the place I have in mind you don't have to pay for, it's nice and you don't have to hide who you are from humans." Rhett lowered his voice so no humans around them could hear.

"Free?" She tilts her head slightly, "And it's not just humans...Others have tried to, as they said, 'acquire' me before as well..." She sighs and looks over at him, her oddly colored eyes glinting slightly, "What is this place you are talking about."

"Well... If I have understand it correctly, I believe I do. A cousin of mine I suppose became a demon as well, but the last I heard of him he was in Australia" Kirin shrugged

"It's a big house out in the forest. Quite a few demons and other creatures live there." Rhett replied.

"Your parents must've died a long time ago then, if you've been around so long." He said

She winces, "D-Demons..." She shivers, having obviously had bad run-ins with several demons, "I've not the best history with my father's kind..."

"Yeah, but it's not do bad. I know they were there, but I don't actually remember Them, like their faces or who they were so there's no real heartache" Kirin smiled distractedly actually trying to remember their faces

"You're half-demon. Well these demons aren't like others, they actually rebelled against the other demons. They're pretty nice." Rhett said.

"My dad and one of his close friends took care of me, my younger sister and younger brother. Our mom was never really around." Iroga said

Kirin looked up at him, "Oh Iroga, I'm sorry"

"A while after I became a demon my younger brother died too. Must've really been hard on my dad." Iroga sighed

"I can imagine," Kirin looked down at the last of her chai

Iroga finished his coffee and got up to toss it out.

Rei nods, standing, "I guess we will see when we get there how they take someone like me... you will take me won't you?" She tilts her head slightly to the side, looking at him.

Kirin tipped back the last of her Chai and followed him

"Yes I'm going back there right now. And if they let a human live with them, I'm sure they won't mind you." Rhett smiled.

Iroga walked outside and looked around. "Where to now?" He asked.

"Well," Kirin pulled her cloak around her, "Do you have any suggestions for sleeping arrangements? I'd be perfectly fine up in one of the trees, but it feels like it's going to rain" she said looking towards the sky

"I usually just find a cave and sleep as a bat." Iroga shrugged

Rei nods, knowing that there aren't many like her and feeling kinda hopeful even though no one has really accepted her before. She thinks to herself, 'But i guess if this random stranger can then maybe...just maybe these other people can too...'

Rhett leads the way out of the town to the highway.

Rei follows closely behind, her wings hidden, folded under the leather jacket she had draped over her torso, "So it's just in the middle of nowhere huh?"
