The man appears in front of them, "Tsk tsk. You know you can't escape me Adri. Not even your father can defeat me."

Iroga stepped in front of her and glared at the man. His eyes glowed a swirling ball of blue fire appeared around one of his hands

"Compared to me you are." The man said. "I'm over a million years old, and from a different plane of existence. Your little blue flames don't scare me."

Iroga swung his hand around and across at the man, the flames bursting larger and out towards him.

The man's eyes became totally pitch black and the flames stopped moving. He walked toward Iroga calmly and flicked him with enough force to make him fly back. "Do you understand the difference in power now?"

Iroga hit the wall then slid down to the ground, groaning a bit but getting up immediately. "Felt like the time I got blasted by a grenade." He glared back at the man, his back and shoulders almost ignited with pain but he didn't let it show.

"That was one trillionth of my power." The man said. "Now hand over the girl and I'll leave this pathetic world of yours alone."

"You're the very thing we're trying to protect her from. We're not just going to let you take her..." Iroga said, as if that man's statement was ridiculous. Iroga seemed to disappear into black smoke then suddenly he jumped out at the man from behind as a panther.

Hearing the thud from Iroga hitting the wall, Kirin pulled out her dagger, ancient script laced the blade, and she breezed down the steps

The man disappeared in a flash and reappeared behind Adri, "That was what we call the wrong decision. I gave you a chance to save your world. Now I'll destroy it too."

Iroga landed and growled at the man, lashing his tail back and forth before roaring and attacking again

Amber grabbed hold of Adri and extended her wings in the man's face. There was a flurry of feathers, and the two were gone.

Kirin breezed past Iroga and blasted towards the man, only taking form soon enough for her dagger to pierce the man's chest

The man growled and grabbed Kirin's forearm. He pulled it away from him and threw her into Iroga before disappearing

Iroga moved from his attack and caught Kirin. He growled again, trying to look around for the man.

Kirin fell on Iroga with an "Oof! she got put quickly, "I'm sorry Iroga. We need to get back to Adri and Amber"

The man was just gone, but a lingering feeling of dread and darkness remained, and some of the things he touched had lost all color, including where his hand touched Kirin's forearm.

Iroga spent some time wandering around the first floor of the house before shifting back into a human and walking back over to Kirin. "He's nowhere around. Something wrong with your arm?" He asked

Amber had brought Adri into the attic

Kirin looked at her arm, "that's where he grabbed me... it doesn't feel all that different"
