Ellie held one of the candles, not paying it the slightest attention as wax dripped down and on to her hand. She waited for him to open the door with a shaky breath.

"An accident. When the doctors mutated Deryn while she was pregnant, I gained the ability to see mutations. I am a, walking, talking, mutation detector. And as for Doom, I'm angry at him. The constant torments of people's pasts and horrors bombard me in my sleep." Kyla said. So that explained her insomnia. Deryn reached down to hug her and was rejected, she came back over and cried into Nuka's shoulders.

Ben squinted in the dark and felt the door. He padded around it feeling for the notch in the stone, like he was blind.

Nuka hugged her. "What was that for?" Nuka asked.

"It's just a little Fuzzy. Dont worry." Ben said softly. He felt the handle of the door and grabbed it. He pulled it back slowly and listened. Silence.

"Okay..." Ellie held her breath when the door was pulled away. They were really gone...huh.

Ben threw the door to the side and grabbed her arm pulling her out.

Ellie tensed a little as he grabbed her arm, but let him take the lead as they finally stepped out of the cave.

Ben pulled her to the edge of the cave and let go of her and dived in.

Ellie looked hesitant as she stood on the edge, looking at the dark water before taking a breath and diving in after him.

Ben was waiting for her in the water. Upon seeing her he started to the bank waiting for her there.

Ellie crawled up onto the bank after him, her stomach already twisting into knots. Last time she got this far she almost died. She also refused to believe that they just "left".

Ben helped pull her out and looked around. "That way is the hide out..." He said pointing. "When you're ready..." He whispered.
