Riley took her hand.

Mehra pushed herself back with her other hand and awkwardly pulled Riley up

Adri suddenly threw Alec away with a magical force

Alec glanced at Adri

Adri said, "D-did you th-think I wouldn't s-sense it? Y-you've g-gone dark..."

Alec frowned, "Adri..."

"D-don't. Y-you have j-joined D-Damien haven't you?"

"I'm not trying to anything other than find Dad!"

"S-so it's tr-true..." Adri looked away from Alec. "L-leave. I d-don't want to s-see you again."

Amber and Kirin jumped a bit in surprise.
Amber got to her feet and walked towards Adri and rested a hand on her shoulder, "If he had gone dark, wouldn't he know...?" she started, watching Alec closely once more

Kirin observed Alec, her mind trying to come to a solid understanding of this boy. It would certainly make sense if he had 'gone dark', but there's a good chance that that would mean he'd be lying about finding his father. With a sigh, Kirin too got to her feet.

"He pulled himself up and laid on the ground panting. "Damn..."

Mehra laid down as well next to Riley on her stomach. She sighed in relief. "It will be dawn soon." She glanced up at the sky.

"Good, then I can get home." He said. "Mehra, where do you need to go?"

"I honestly have no idea." Mehra shrugged.

Alec sighed and looked at Adri, "Fate is sealed anyway sister. One of us will be dying before the conclusion of the phophecy, whichever way it goes. Good luck trying to survive." Alec disappeared into thin air.

Riley looked at her. "You don't know where you came from?"

"I know where I came from, I just don't know where I am now or how to get back." Mehrabah sighed.

Rhett came down the stairs, hearing what had gone on and he had waited until it had calmed down. "Hey." He greeted Kirin.

The hairs on the back of Amber's neck prickled, and her eyes narrowed at the spot where Alec disappeared.

Kirin sighed, "Adri, are you going to be alright? I'm sorry I brought him here"
She looked up and nodded to Rhett, "Hey" she greeted

"You were gone for quite a while. Charlotte still isn't back. Did you find Kro?" He asked

"No i-it's fine....." Adri said, "I-it's better to kn-know"

She nodded, "Yeah, but we ran into some unexpected company and she ran off again"

Amber rested her hand on Adri's head and smiled at her softly, "We'll get everything figured out" she promised.

"Unexpected company?" Rhett asked

"Adri has a twin brother, she thought he'd died, but she showed up and helped save us if I remember correctly" Kirin said thoughtfully. "Sorry, my memory has been going a bit fuzzy lately. Oh! but there was someone who took us all in to rest for a bit"

"Where?" Rhett asked, walking over to the fridge and getting two glasses of water. He handed one to Kirin

Kirin nodded her thanks "Not all too far from here. But there's no way I would have found it on my own. It was near a frozen pond I believe. It was this really old cathedral with spirits just everywhere" she explained briefly

Adri listened

"I don't know much about this magic world, I'm just a human after all, but I do know it's only in rare cases a bunch of spirits would be able to roam around in one spot. Normally grim reapers would be after them like crazy. Something there must be keeping the reapers away." Rhett said

Kirin nodded thoughtfully, "I'm fairly sure it was the storm demon that was there." She tapped her lip a bit irritated with herself, "What was his name"

"Storm demon?" Rhett looked a bit surprised. "Maybe Riley would know about it."

Charlotte wandered the forest still as it started to get dark.

"Where did you come from?" Riley asked.

"Atlanta, Georgia." Mehra replied. "But I don't know if I should go back."
