Val glanced at Chase then back after where Ashton went.

"Wow!" Kanon gasps.

Karin shrugs. "Just wanted to come in. Heard about Ivan from Sakura."

Lianna looked down. "I know...it hurts." She whispered. The loft above creaked. The sound of heavy foot steps echoed. "Hog is gonna host the ceremony in a day in the base." She told Karin.

"What is wrong love?" Chase asked.

"Bonebreaker here isn't fully tamed. You think you can handle him?" Mika smirked.
"I've slept with you before, so I think I can handle a hard headed horse." He said flatly.
"Alright." Mika said.

"Nothing." Val replied

"Alright then." He said.

Karin nods, before saying hi to Skylar.

Kanon remains silent, as she watches.

Shekissed his cheek and got up after a moment, walking off to her room.

Mika saddled the horse then handed it over to Tad, who climbed up into the saddle.

Chase watched her go.

Kanon watches.

She swallowed. "I can't be with the Sabers anymore. I just can't."

Karins eyes narrow at what Skylar says. "Sabers?" She asks.

She glanced at her and nodded. "Yes."

"Why don't you want to be a part of the Sabers?"

"Chase leads everyone to be cruel and bloodthirsty. I can't be with those people anymore..."

She smiles. "I'm sure you'll be welcomed as one of us then. I'm Karin by some, Rin the tattoo artist by others, or one of the twin jade dragon assassins by a whole range of other people."

She gave a small nod. "Skylar . . . also known as Saika the spy." She said warily.

"You're like my sister."

"Then we will welcome you with open arms." Lianna said.

Kanon nods in agreement with Lianna. "Do you know what Chase is planning exactly?"

She flushed slightly at the other women's kindness, but cleared her throat in a businesslike manner and leaned back against the wall. "All I know really is that Chase wants to take down the Gargoyles soon. Especially Tad. And he's going to do whatever it takes to have a go at him."

Karin sighs. "I'll get Kanon to keep a look out, since she's with Tad most of the time."

"We'll keep an eye on him as well." Lianna said softly. "But how does Conway expect to get to Tad, or take him down? Tad's one of the best members of the gang." She said.

". . . I think Chase plans to try to use me in some way. He knows about my alliance with you guys, get he hasn't done anything. Hasn't said or done nothing. So . . . I think he wants to use me against you, somehow."

"Conway better watch himself. If he pisses of Tad too much, he will have a real gargoyle to deal with." Hunk said sitting in the shadows of the stairs. His eyes where rimmed with tears.

Skylar turned tkwards Hunk, her eyes sad. "Hunk . . . I'm so sorry about Ivan . . . "
