Adri nodded and smiled sweetly. Somehow despite everything that has happened to her family over the years, she remained hopeful and innocent. These were small traits that seemed unusual and out of place for someone who just lost the only person that was always there for her. It seemed even more off with the fact that her twin was actually alive and evil after she believed him dead for years.

Riley sighed. "Anyway, what are you even doing up by dear, shouldn't you be resting?" He said.

Adri just shrugged, "C-can't sleep." She glanced away from Riley and the wall she had built around her with the brave face had a wall in it. Her eyes looked a little distant and while she kept smiling, it was obvious she wasn't fine.

"What's wrong my dear. I may be the devil but even I have feelings." He said.

Adri shook her head and looked at Riley. Her barriers seemed to instantly be back up, "Nothing."

"please, don't lie to me." He said.

Adri stood up and walked over to Riley. The words "Don't worry about me, really. I'll be fine." appeared in his head as Adri smiled a little.

"I do not want you to hurt yourself." He told her.

Charlotte and Nephele had fallen asleep on the couch after they watched a movie. Nephele was woken by her father coming in and ran over. "Glad to see you back." She smiled happily.

Riley saw her and smiled. "Hey there little willow." He smiled trying to hide how tired he really was. "Shouldn't you be sleeping?" He asked.

Adri silently left the two of them alone

"I was napping a bit on the couch. Charlotte and I were hoping you would be coming back tonight." Nephele said.

"Napping, and sleeping are two different things, Little one." He said.

"Fine but you need to tuck me in." Nephele said matter-of-factly, crossing her arms and smirking a bit.

"Good to see you Riley." Ignace said, coming up the stairs from the training room in the basement. "I'm going to head to sleep, Colton is downstairs."

Riley smiled to Igance. "Alright thanks, Iggy." He said as he looked down to his daughter. "My, my you got more than just your mothers abilities, you got her attitude as well." he chuckled as he picked the little girl up. "Alright, come on, lets get you into bed." He said as he started to the stairs.

"Iggy? Don't call me that." Ignace rolled his eyes at Riley.

Neph hugged him as he picked her up. "So what did the demons say?"

"And why would you need to know that little one?" Riley asked as he looked at her.

"Cause I want to know why you were gone for so long." Neph replied

"Well we have about half of the Demon Kings on our side." He said as he carried her up the stairs. "The others didn't want to help."

"With any luck that could be enough to stop Doom." Charlotte said, walking behind Riley and heading for her room.

"I do hope so." He said. "But it seems like he may not be the only one we have to worry about now." He sighed.

"You mean there are other threats like Doom?" Charlotte stopped, giving him a serious look.

Riley groaned that she had brought this up now. "In a sense yes. Don't forget I am a hated demon." He said.

“We’ll have to discuss what we’re gonna do about Doom in the morning.” Charlotte said. “I wonder for Neph and Rhett’s safety if we should keep them at the house or send them somewhere away from Doom.”
