Guardians (RP thread)

" I wasn't singing." Sam noted. " I was just telling y'all about my progress. "

'both are the same thing." He teased.

A small feather tickled Lei's nose as he slept. His Zorka snuggling in close.

Lei shifted and sniffed at the irritation on his nose. He pushed the feather away in his sleep.

" how so?" Sam asked.

His Zorka kept pestering him trying to wake him up.

"You where still overly proud about your ability, whether you sing its praise or not." He said.

" I finally have something to be proud about." Sam pointed out. " I haven't had anything special about me before. I was a street rat loving on my own. Stealing yo even survive. "

"But now you are a guardian, but you are not the only guardian remember that. Boastfulness will build a wall between you and the others. You must not let that happen." Rayyan said. "That is what happened to Fia. So do not boast for those who are not yet able to match you may grow to hate you."

" I've been helping lee practice and get better." Sam sighed.

"Yes but what of the others? What of Eli, and Fallon?" He asked.

" I offered but he said not at the moment." Sam told them. " And Fallon, I'm pretty sure she hates me."

"Then it is up to you to fix that relationship before it becomes anything like Fia's and Azriel's Relationship." He said. "we are trying to fix the rift that was made by our predecessors." Rayyan said. "I have to fix our relationship too." He said.

"Will you stop?" Lei muttered to the zorka, not opening his eyes yet but awake. He tried to push the zorka off.

" I'll try. But I can only do so much." Sam said crossing her arms. " Also I'm not going yo be the only one putting in the effort friendship is a two way street."

He started to groom his hair instead, trying to wake him. A knock came on Lei's door. "Hey Lei, start waking up we have breakfast made downstairs." Ajax called in.

"I know, but sometimes you need to give the other driver a hand getting their car moving." He said. He streatched and started to float again.
Azriel looked at Sam. "I am ready whenever you are." He said.

Lei groaned as he sat up and rubbed his eyes, finally opening them. He pulled on a sweater as he stood up and winced a little at the act of raising his arms above his head. The cut below his left arm still wasn’t fully healed, and he coughed a couple times. He closed his door behind him and started going downstairs.

The Zorka of his perched on his shoulder and nuzzled gently into his face. The smell of food filled the air and the voice of the three guardians could be heard.

Lei approached the table where they were having breakfast and sat down, leaning on his elbows on the table and patting the Zorka gently.

" she hasn't been very nice or even there for any of us." Sam mumbled.

"Sometimes some people need a little more persuasive measures." Rayyan sighed. "Just try."

"Morning Lei." Orrik said as he floated slightly. "You ready for today?" He asked.

“Why? What’s happening today?” Lei asked sleepily, pulling the Zorka off of his shoulder and setting it on the table to pet it more.

" learning about or spirit beast mode." Sam told him sitting as well with a plate of food.

“Spirit or beast mode? Maybe I’ll have to sit that one out, I can barely control a cup of water.” Lei chuckled, getting up again to get some food.

" I don't think you get the chance." Sam said softly. " and don't worry you'll get there with your powers. "

“It seems like it’s taking too long...” Lei sighed, sitting down next to Sam with a plate. “Like I’m getting nowhere with it and I have a lot of doubts that I might even be the guardian at all. New guardians are supposed to show up at age 16 but I’m two years older.”

" you survived in purgatory didn't you?" Sam asked looking at him.
