Nakutazuka's Wilflife Park (RP)

Kyle was making small talk with the guys and Kayla when a loud crashing sound came from outside.

Kayla gasped hearing the sound. " what was that?" She asked looking in the direction the sound came from.

"It came from out back, by the dumpster." Henri said as he reached under the counter and pulled out a shot gun.
"Could be a bear then, let me come with ya." Kyle said as he stood.

" bears don't usually make a sound like that." Kayla said standing as well letting kyle get up.

They nodded and all left out the back. The clattering and clanking from behind the garbage dumpster. Henri moved first holding out the gun and aiming down the barrel. He stopped and lowered the gun. "Oh man."
Kyle walked over and stopped. "Oh you poor dog." He said softly. Around the back side of the dumpster was a medium sized black and white dog. Thin, skin and bones barely anything upon their body. A massive chain hung off from a spiked collar around its neck. Large old scars coursed over the body of the dog. As it looked at the two men the dog spank away and shifted, the stump of its tail shifting as if it wanted to tuck the stump between it's legs. Kyle put a hand on Henri's chest and pushed him back as they stepped back.

Kayla was peaking around seeing what was going on. " the poor thing." Kayla said softly.

"Hey little one, it's okay..." Kyle said as he crouched down and shifted closer. The dog pressed farther into the spot it was hiding. "It's okay you're just hungry, aren'tcha?" He said.
"I betcha she came from the Verlock Ranch. Had enough suspicion of them training fighting dogs there, but no actually evidence. She might be a reject, or a looser. The poor girl." He said.
"It's okay girl, let's get that heavy chain off of you first. Henri go toy truck and behind the driver's seat is a pair of bolt cutters, go get me them." He said as he gently offered out a hand. She growled. It's okay.

Kayla watched carefully. " Wait you think someone is doing dog fighting?"

"The Verlock twins, couple of assholes from a year older than me. Lot of probable cause but no real evidence." Kyle said as he got closer to the dog and gently pet her. She shyed away before leaning into the pet, slowly wagging her tail.

" but she is evidence that they are are you going to do something about it now?" Kayla asked.

"We can't be sure she came from there." Henri said as he came back over handing Kyle the bolt cuter. Kyle took the bolt cutters and broke the heavy chain from around the dog's neck. She instantly bounded on top of Kyle, her butt wiggling like hell to make up for the missing tail that could be wagging.
"There's also a lot of stray dogs in this area. People dump 'em on this strip of road a lot. And the Verlock boys don't keep 'em at their house. Not really sure where they keep the dogs." He said.

Kayla sighed softly but was happy the dog was out of chains.

Kyle laughed and petted her. "What a sweet little girl you are for being from such a mean place." He said using a baby voice as he squished the face of this dog gently. She let her tongue roll out happily.

Kayla chuckled listening to him.

Kyle pushed her put of his face. The dog bounded over to Kayla and jumped up at her, a ball of joy.

Kayla smiled reaching down to pet her.

"Whelp, guess We're taking you home." Kyle said as he got up. "Henri you got any food we could give her? She's in need of food."
Henri thought. "I might have a cupcake..." He said.

" that's not healthy for a dog..." Kayla trailed.

"I know that. If i had something more substantial I would have said that instead...Oh we might have a dog biscuit." He said.

" hmm. Do you have any milk?" Kayla asked. " It's not the best but it at least gets her hydrated and hives her some nutrients."

"I've got heavy cream in the back, but we're out of milk." He said.

" a little bit of that won't hurt her." Kayla said.

"You sure? It's sweet cream." Henri said.

" a small amount won't be bad. The sugar actually will jump start her system. When ever I have animals that are crashing you give them sugar." Kayla told him.

"Okay, if you're sure" Henri said as he walked into the shop before returning with a bowl of cream.
