Guardians (RP thread)

"Tell me what?" sam asked turning around looking down at him.

"A bit about me and my brothers." He said. "Tell me how well do you know about our past?"

" that you lived with your dragkin and he raised y'all " she told him.

"Yes." Lei nodded simply, looking over his shoulder at what Ajax was doing. He waved a finger and the leftover water from the pot dissipated into steam.

Orrik smiled gently and sighed. "If only that was true. We lost our Dragkin, our father, when we were 10." He said.

"That's good." Ajax said as he looked at him. "Hey your getting a lot better." He smiled.

" why are you telling me this?" She asked confused.

"Because you are right. we are pushing you all to hard, that and I want you to know what you have the hardest job of them all, because you can't save every one." Orrik said.

" what do you mean?" She wanted to understand more.

"I knew what was happening to you when you were younger, but I didn't know who you'd become so I made choices, do I help you or help others and I icked others but looking back I hate the choices I made." He said. "I've had to let many people, good people die because I cannot save everyone."

" wait you knew about what my foster family was doing to me?" She said hurt in her voice. " and you let him..."

"Thanks. It's not that hard after all..." Lei smirked a bit at Ajax's compliment.

"I'm glad you think so." Ajax said as he pulled out the last of the chicken and set it to cool.

"Yes Sam, and if I could go back I would do so many things differently! I'd restart my life and do it right if I had the choice. But that's the thing, we never know what is the better choice is until farther down the line." Orrik said. "I knew about you, and I knew of Eli, and I knew Ajax was hates by most his family, but the Guardian of Earth cannot see. We can only feel and all we feel is pain of all the wrong choices we will ever make. I chose right in one place but mount at Helens exploded in another. I chose right another time, and 911 happened. But would my choices have been better if I picked the other? We can never know." He tried to explain. "I don't expect you to forgive me, or even want to talk to me after what I've told you. I wouldn't expect you too, I've grown use to it in the end, I'm the most terrible man on the planet." He sighed. "But I'm sorry... I wish I could change what had happened in the past. I wish I had saved you, I wish I had saved Eli a d Ajax and... I wish I never had led my brothers into the woods when we were children." He said as he covered his face.

" so you are saying no matter all the good you do something equally negative happens?" Sam asked trying to understand. " what do you mean you regret taking your brothers into the woods?"

( funny thing I grew up in Washington. And may 18th is like a holiday. It's the day st. Helens blew )

Neato! One of my teachers growing up was supposed to be on mount at Helens when it blew up ))

"Yes. For every action this is an equal and opposite reaction." He sighed. "And I think it's easier to show you." Orrik said as he patted the ground next to him waiting for her to sit.

( surpisenly only like 4 people died from the eruption. And all of it was due to them being stupid and not leaving the moutain.))

Sam complied and sat down next to him.

Lei went quiet and watched Ajax for a moment before he went back to sit around the island table. (should something interesting happen at the house?)

Thaladon suddenly appeared in the room. "Something is wrong." He said as he danced around the kitchen looking for something.
Orrik then offered her his hands. "are you prepared?" He asked.

"Yeah" she nodded taking his hand.

A wave of sleep washed over Sam as he held her hands and he sucked his head down and closed his eyes as well.
They woke up in a forest not much different from the one that surrounded the house. "Stay close to me, though this is the past it can still sense us." He said as he started to lead her through the forest coming to a small cabin, smoke curling out from a chimney. It was similar to the one they had.

Sam stayed right behind him looking around.

Orrik lead her to the house and walked in through the wall and entered the house.

Sam followed wondering why they went through the wall and not the door.

Lei got up. "What do you need? What happened?" he asked, looking immediately uneasy. They couldn't have found it already? he thought.

They entered a large open room that had two cots on the far end. There was a fire burning in the center of the room and a sleep on the beds was a family. There was a fairskinned man with salt and pepper medium length hair asleep with Ray asleep at his back. On the other cot was a young Azriel and Orrik. Orrik however was awake laying there watching the fire flicker and dance.

"Something in the air feels wrong." He said panicked. Thaladon walked backwards looking around as he hit the wall.

Sam glanced up at her Orrick when she saw a young one.
