Cutter just stood in the corner of the room silent like always watching them. He walked over to the ID and lifted it up looking it over. He squinted his eyes a bit.

" hey cutter will you watch over Rhydian?" Nyla asked him.

Cutter looked over to Nyla and nodded to her as he put the ID down and walked back to the side of the room where he sat down and crossed his arms over his chest.

Nyla let out a sigh as she cleaned up. She could heal the body but she couldn't heal the mind, so she was hoping that he would wake up.
After about an hour Ryder lurched awake gasping panicking when he realized he was somewhere he's never been.

“I mean relatively recently, he could’ve come here before the meteor hit and has been here since then.” Akaru said

" I guess we'll have to wait and see how he got here." Nyla said pulling her now blond hair back out of her face.

Cutter walked over to Ryder with his hands extended in a motion to try to calm him down. Fuck this, I hate not being able to talk... He thought to himself as he started to sign a bit to Ryder, trying to keep him calm. At the same time He stamped his metal foot down on the ground letting the metal clink against one and other loudly as he tried to call for Nyla an Akaru.

Ryder looked at cutter and then around the room. " you I know you!" He said pointing at cutter. " I saw you with a girl she had purple eyes." he said confused.
Nyla heard cutter stopping she came to him to help him with the man. " that would be me." She said gently standing next to cutter.

Thank god... Cutter thought as Nyla came back over. You are safe here, tell us what happened. He signed.

" I know I'm safe. I made it." Ryder sighed understanding cutters signs.
" you know American sign language?" Nyla asked a bit surprised. " you're from the UK you should know English sign." She mentioned.
" I learned it so I could understand him. The last few months I've been having visions of this place. Like I needed to come here." Ryder explained.

Visions? Cutter asked. And how did you learn American Sign with almost no survivors?

" I raided a library and found an ASL dictionary. it should be in my back pack I was wearing." Ryder told him. " I've been seeing bits of the future since the meteor hit."

You're a super then? He asked.

" is that what you call us? The people who got powers od the meteor hit?" Ryder asked looking at Nyla and cutter.

Cutter nodded.

" I've been on my own so long I wasn't even sure others were alive... Till I saw the vision of this place. It seemed to be calling me here. No clue why just that I needed to come here no matter the costs..." Ryder tailed the last sentence he seemed to let out a sad heavy sigh. " I was the only one who showed up at the gate?" He asked sadly.

" yeah my sister..." Ryder sighed. " we got mugged.. She told me to keep going... I tried to fight them off but i got stabbed " he looked at his chest to see only a faint scar where he got a knife to the gut. " how is this already healed? It happened 2 days ago?" He asked confused.

Nyla looked away not exactly wanting to explain how she did it.

We have good doctors here. He explained.

Akaru hung around the medbay after Ryder had woken up, cleaning and keeping track of their supply stock as an excuse to find out what had happened to Ryder.

" I know medicine and science. This would have needed stitches to heal." Ryder said bluntly.

" I'm a super." Nyla lied. " I can heal people which is what I did to you." She told him half the truth, yes she could heal people with a cost. But she wasn't a super.

" are there others?" Ryder asked.

Cutter nodded. We have a person who can become a werewolf and a person who can grow bones out of her body and use them for protection and attack.

" wow a lot of us are here cool." Ryder smiled.

"I wonder what the rate is of people who became super, compared to the people who didn't." Akaru mentioned as he came up to pass Ryder back his wallet and ID.

" me too, it would be cool to see how many supers compared to normal humans there are." Ryder nodded agreed with Akura. " thanks man." He said taking his wallet back. " I guess you already know my name. Im Rhydian Walsh I go by Ryder."

Nyla backed away letting the boys talk.
