"That....honestly sounds like a great idea." Wolf said.

"But if we live somewhere cold in the mountains, it will be harder to grow food. Even with the greenhouses to keep the plants warm, it'll be hard to find good soil there to plant the plants in." Akaru said. "I don't think we'd have any trouble finding somewhere big to stay at in the mountains, we could always find a ski resort or an isolated town with cliffs on all sides."

" No I'm not military, but when I'm in a fight I can see my appointments next few steps. Or at least all the possible outcomes." Ryder explained. " For all I know I had a vision from some else's point of view, that's happened a few times."

" You aren't a monster..." Nyla mumbled to herself. " You don't need to be put down like some animal. Plus the nights they bring you in to me you always do better." She told him truthfully. " And by recharge it means I'm taking energy from zombies. I can't just heal people without taking life energy from someone else..."

"Okay. I was just wondering because Henri only sends out the toughest members at the Haven to go scavenging." Vara said.

" I was thinking about joining the royal force. But never got the chance... I did do some boot camp like training, but that's about it. I honestly have no special skills. I completed high school and did some college but failed that..." He mumbled, " so other then my power I don't see why Henri would want me."

( Man my new character would be great for solving the fuel shortage.)

"So it may be from someone else's perspective. Have I ever been in one of your visions?" Vara asked, raising an eyebrow at him curiously. The crowd outside that watched the scavengers had dispersed already.

" no, I think I would have remembered your colorful hair if I saw you." Ryder told her. " I'm kind of glad I haven't seen everything about this place. It allows to me explore and get to know people." He glanced at her with a smile.

"Life could get boring if you could see everything that was going to happen ahead of time." Vara nodded. "Sounds like Wolf was injured on his leg, but no bite." She said, overhearing some of the other people heading back inside.

" who is taking care of him then? Nyla isn't here." Ryder asked not know Akura was also trained in the medical field.

"We have other doctors, or people about half qualified to be doctors. I think there are 3 or 4 of them. Nyla, Akaru, and two other doctors. Nyla's the best of course, but if it's just a cut on his leg then Wolf should be fine." Vara explained.

" is nyla only the best because she can heal people?" Ryder asked.

"Pretty much. And her dedication to finding the cure means she's the one available most of the time if someone needs help." Vara nodded. "Where should we go now? Do you want to see Wolf in the medbay, or do something else?"

" well if you say he's fine and someone is taking care of him then let's go somewhere else." Ryder told her.

"Alright, let's try the mess hall, I'm getting hungry." Vara led the way. "In your visions, is there something big going to happen to the Haven? Is that why you came here?" She asked, looking at him seriously now.

" maybe. Sometimes they show me big events sometimes it's just small things that build up to the big thing." Ryder said honestly.

"Have you seen mostly good things or bad things about this place?" She asked

" they started off good. But slowly more and more bad things are being shown to me." He answered.

"Bad things like what?" She asked, leading him into the mess hall and grabbing some plates, handing him one.

" um... Cutter being killed by a firing squad. Would having a building or large poll fall on top of him. Nyla well I'm not sure what was with Nyla. But it wasn't good." Ryder explained.

Vara tilted her head to the side, thinking about what he said. "What would Cutter do that would make him deserve an execution like that? He's like Henri's closest friend."

Wolf nodded. "Yeah thats true. I don't know I just prefer the cold to the heat, having fur and all."

Henri looked at her gently and then his eyes started to widen. "Wait so every time you knock me out, you're taking a bit of life from me...?" He questioned. "That's fucking amazing!" He smiled brightly.

"Food would probably keep better up in colder weather." Akaru said. "During the winters we wouldn't have to expend electricity on keeping food cold. Maybe we could bring that idea up to Henri."

" I have no idea." Ryder said lying to her. He knew but was not allowed to say why.

" It's not amazing cutter!" Nyla snapped at him. " I can't just give I also have to take too. And I've killed people by taking."

Vara stared at him a moment, knowing he was lying. She turned away for a moment to scoop some food onto her plate at the large table in the mess hall. "Where do you want to sit?" She asked

" I think this is the most food I've seen in months." Ryder commented serving himself food. " Um where ever is fine. So I know most powers have strengths and weaknesses what is it like to be tellakentic?" He asked her.
