Soul Takers 2.0

"Are they back at that house?" Mahic asked.

"Yes. I'll introduce you to Voodoo later." He said. "I can't keep track of his scent."

"Where does it end?" She moved up beside him

He pointed. "There here."

Mahic walked over to the point where the scent stopped and looked on down a narrow trail through the forest. "Should we try looking down that way then?"

"Sure." He said heading down the path.

She followed along beside him. "If we find him could we stay at your house? We're looking for a new home around here." She said

He smiled at her. "Of course. We take in anyone in need."

"Thank you." She smiled, noticing a few footprints on a patch of soft ground. "It looks like he came by this way."

Colton nodded. "Yes."

[kinda stumped]

They walked into the forest and colton followed his nose. He stopped. "I smell him again." He said. "Some where near here, on the air."

A dark presence followed them.

Colton stopped. "Do you sense that?" He asked.

The raven that had been with Kro watched them. It hissed to itself.

[sorry DX]

"No..." She looked around cautiously

The crow's scream got louder until is was blood curdling. Colton looked back. The crow's feathers fell off it's body until it's bones where left.

[so my mom's being a witch again. I swear this is less of a parent-child relationship and more of a dictatorship. Like most parenting techniques involve the parent accepting and correcting their flaws, but my mom seems to believe that she has no flaws when it comes to parenting and that how dare I try to point out that she has a problem T.T I literally want to run away from home I can't take this anymore. She'll spaz at me for procrastinating on my homework when I have writer's block but when I asked her to help me come up with an idea to get around the writer's block she flat out refused. Like would it kill you to be a bit supporting and encouraging for once!?]

Mahic jumped, stepping back away from the crow and covering her ears. "What is that!?"

[I'm sorry sweetie! If I could I'd let you run away to my house, my bed room even has an extra bed in it you could have. But I can't! I've only mentioned you to my mom once maybe twice, my dad has no idea of who you are, and my older sister, would slap me and probably beat me for even suggesting the idea. I really wish I could just let you come live in my house, you'd be fun to have as a room mate/ sister!]

"An alarm!" Colton cried. He grabbed Mahic's hand and started to run back to the house.

[yeah X3 that'd be fun just pack up my stuff and go over to Wisconsin =p at least the temperature's still about the same there, I love the snow. The other day after exams I went to the grocery store behind our school and it's a pretty long walk across the entire school football and soccer fields to the store. It was snowing like crazy and at one point I even fell over into a snow bank it was freezing but I was still super happy XD cause snow's awesome]

Mahic ran with him, glancing back at the crow before following quickly, picking up the pace.

See I love snow too, it's just I have to help Dad plow snow...I dont appreciate getting up at 3 am and being out plowing until school!] Maybe once we're both out of high school we can arrange to meet up some where and hang out for a weekend or something!]

Colton switched back to his demon form and threw Mahic over his shoulders and dropped to four legs running. The crow called out behind him.

[yeah that'd be cool]

Mahic wondered what the crow was calling out about. Did they do something bad? She was getting a little confused.

Kro spent the day wandering around the forest, trying to look for any sign of civilization. He supposed a demon wouldn't just be out in the middle of a forest, if there was a demon on Earth at all. He found a big tree and started to climb up to get a better view.

The raven grew in size and flew down. It bit Colton's tail.

Colton yelped and stumbled knocking Mahic off his back.

She tucked and rolled as she fell off, turning to the crow and picking up a fallen branch. She ran at it, aiming to smack it withe the branch

The massive bird pecked Colton's flank. He yellped as blood rushed up from the wound.

Mahic swung the branch at it. "Get away from him!"
