Guardians (RP thread)

"It will not take Orrik long to heal, But I will see if Ray will help me rebuild it until then." He said.

"Oh? Do you not have fun being a guardian?" Akel asked,

As they passed through the guardian of old sealed the gate. As he turned his back Fia's Zorka sank his fangs into his body. On the other side of the gate was a long dark tunnel. Once they entered the gate closed, keeping them in. The old guardian slowly disappeared in their minds.

"A tunnel.... well let's keep moving." Eli said as he kept walking

It was long and damp and stretched for miles, slowly moving up and up. After almost an hour and a half of walking they saw a faint light at the end of the tunnel.

" Okay." Sam nodded. " I hope Eli gets here soon. Azriel needs to go to hell..."

"I'm sure everything will be fine." Ajax said with a sigh. He looked more stressed than normal.

"we're almost there..." Eli said quietly as he pushed on and ran up the last bit of the tunnel

The last bit, was still about a 2 mile stretch. They came out to right outside of the town, in the Cemetery.

She shakes her head. "I don't really like it at all... I mean, I guess the powers are cool, and I wouldn't trade River in for anything but aren't we supposed to be a team? Feel like a team? I feel like an outsider... an outcast..."

Sam frowned. " How is this okay?" She pointed to Azriel and himself. " you both are severely injured and Orrick!"

"Maybe you can make them want to team up with you. Show them that you are a benefit to have." Akeldama said. "I could help you. I'm actually very skilled in air manipulation."

Ajax huffed slightly. "Because this isn't the first time that the three have fought like this. How do you think Rayyan lost his Zorka? Azriel went on a rampage and bypassed Orrik and almost got to the gates of Heaven." He said. "They will recover from this, because despite everything, family holds stronger than the scars we wear."

Sam snapped her attention to Ajax, " none of this had to happen!" She snapped.

"I know that, and trust me, I wish it didn't happen Sam!" Ajax said quickly.

" y'all could have fixed it." Sam glared at him. She was remembering her brief time with Fia.

"You don't think we tried!?" Ajax snapped angrily.

" this started way before she became a guardian." Sam told him " and you guys didn't do anything."

"They tried Sam! It started with the guardian before her! Even if they had befriended her he planted seeds of hate in her as a child, she would have always turned on them!"

She smiles. "That's the thing though. I don't want to have to make them want me by showing off and using skills. I want to be able to trust them like I trust my family. I want more family. A family doesn't show off, or put each other down, or ignore each other. They help each other, trust each other, protect each other because they love each other."

"Well then, how about you get stronger, for them? That way you can show them just how much you really love them the next time you need too."

She nods. "Can you help?" she asks.

" If you knew this couldn't you used some sort of demon dragon magic to stop it?" Sam asked crossing her arms over her chest. " Is this same thing going to happen to Lee?"

Eli looked around, "well i guess we have to walk back to the others..."

"Of course I can darling, but if I do, we can't mention me. The guardians...they don't like too many people that aren't guardians, or related to them, ya'know?" He smiled brightly.

"No, Lei, will not turn into what Fia has, I'm there to prevent that from ever happening. And I'm not really a dragkin, I can't cast spells like a normal dragkin could. I'm half demon, only being kept alive by a rock shoved into my eye socket!" He growled. he took a deep breath and exhaled sharply. "If I could have stopped all of this, I would have...they are family to me." Ajax said holding his face in his hands. "If...ah-I was stronger, I would stop it forever..." He said as his voice cracked. His arms shook a bit.

Twiggy was searching the forest around the house for Lei and Eli.

" Why can't we break the connection between them?" Sam asked.

"No, Fia, has part of Azriel's Soul...His soul will naturally want to go back to him, but because it has been merged with part of Fia's wherever his goes, she follows." He said.
