Guardians (RP thread)

"Hmmm...." Lei still wasn't happy at that response but he didn't say anything just stood up, following Eli and the man.

Ajax pushed her back in. Tal looked at here with dark eyes. "Our father." He said

He opened the door and looked out before slipping out quickly.

Lei followed, suddenly remembering his nervousness about being in purgatory and kept a cautious lookout around them. He kept close to Eli as they went.

Sam slipped out again "I can defend myself" she said glaring at Ajax. " Why haven't we learned about these people if you're so afraid of them?"

Eli followed along seemingly unafraid of what might come their way

"Because they aren't suppose to ever reach here. They must have gotten through when Orrik passed out. His barrier must have come down. he told her through the mind not wanting the other blood demon to know about Orrik's poor condition. "I don't really believe you Thal. Why would you help me?" He asked.
"I'm not all bad."
"Says the demon who planted ideas into Hitler's mind, and poisoned his blood!"
"Hey you little punk, that was an order. Not my own idea!" Thal snapped. "But even though I hate your guts, It wouldn't be fair if you got killed by father. After all I want to be the one to rip you apart." He grinned darkly.

The old guardian walked along the edge. He suddenly stopped and touched a hand to the ground. His eyes widened. "Hurry, run!" He snapped. "SHE'S coming." He said.

None if this made any sense to Sam so she snuck past Ajax and Tal to take care of Azriel.

"Run where?" Lei asked

Thal saw her move and a blood pole grew from his finger stopping her. "Who said you could move?" He snapped.

"Keep following this path along this wall. About two miles up the way, there will be a draft of air that smells like Cut wood!" He said as he stamped his foot building an. Obsidian wall with spikes.

" I did." She said looking at him not flinching. " Azriel needs medical help which I'm going to give him. If you aren't here to fight but warn us then that shouldn't be a problem. "

"Come on Eli." Lei said, running down the path as quickly as he could.

"I don't trust anyone who trusts Ajax." He hissed.

The old guardian kept making spears of obsidian and throwing them back at something large moving through the forest.

" You really have a dysfunctional family if you don't trust your brother. " she said looking at him. " Also I could care less about you feelings. I would like to save my friend from bleeding out."

Lei followed the old man's directions and made it to the gate. He stopped just a foot away from it and looked back to see if Eli made it.

"I'm supposed to be the next Guardian of Heaven."

"I like her Jaxy. She's got fire. You sure she ain't a part demon?" He asked as he let her pass.
"I'm positive." Ajax growled. "And why would be be coming after me, other than the fact he hates me." He huffed.
"I'll really shouldn't say, but apparently, you where the special child that inherited some of is Particular...powers." Thaladon said. "And he, nor the other blood demons like that, so they plan on trying to kill you." He said.

"Are you now?" He smiled. 'How wonderful. I always wondered what it would be like to be friends with a guardian."

" I'm not. Just the Guardian of earth." Sam said checking on Azriel. "with Orrick out why couldn't I keep the barrier up?" she spoke to Ajax while cleaning up Azriel. She frowned seeing all the holes and wounds on his body.

"You aren't strong enough yet. And I don't think you even have the basis of barrier training yet, do you?" He responded.

"Guardian of Earth?" He smiled.
"Keep your hands off her." Ajax snarled. "Is there anything else?" Ajax hissed.
"No, just thought I'd be nice to my little brother!" He smirked.

"Rayyan taught me how to hear souls... so why couldn't I be taught about barriers? I can try and keep it up as long as Orrick is healing." Sam said glancing at Ajax and glaring Thal.

"Get out of my house." Ajax hissed. "And never come back again."
"Should I be scared of that?" Thaladon chuckled as he looked over his shoulder at Ajax. The purple eyes turned dark and red, and only one eye glared at Thaladon. The normally dull teeth where pointed and partly opened. Ajax clacked them together and as he did so, Thal gave a small shiver and then grunted in pain and coughed a bit. He spat the mouth full of blood onto the floor as Thal left through the door. Ajax waited a moment as he sighed and the features disappeared. "Keeping a barrier up is very...tasking on the body and mind. It's not wise for you to try to keep a barrier up for so long." He said. "Not one that sucks at the power that Orrik had up anyway." Ajax said to her.

Azriel shifted a bit as if he was dreaming.

" With Orrick hurt someone has to keep the wall up." Sam said focusing on Azriel. " countless of demons could have gotten through. "

Eli stopped directly behind Lei. "Ready to get out of here? He seemed pretty worried... I think its best to get out quickly so he isnt covering for us longer. Don't worry, go on through. Im right behind you"

Lei nodded and went through, not exactly sure what to expect on the other side.

Eli followed Lei through

"But it's not fun at all," she sighs.
