Jonas shivered and looked down at her smiling. "Yeah, I'm doing fine are you?" He asked.

"I'm getting there." Tad huffed as he went down another step slowly.

“Yeah, I’m okay.” She gave him a smile and hugged his arm. “We have beautiful weather today. Maybe Ivan’s watching us and smiling that we’re all here together.”

Kanon hides a smile, as she stays one step ahead of Tad.

Tad slowly moves down one step at a time. He reaches the last step and stumbles, as his foot gives out and he falls.

She squeezed his arm. “You’re so strong, Jonas. When my parents passed away, I closed myself off to the world. I wish I was as strong as you.”

"I'm only strong because of the gargoyles." Jonas said. "Had Tad not saved me from my family, i'm sure I would be dead by now."

“Loved ones make us strong. They give us the strength to get up and fight.” She looked up at him, her quartz gaze bright. “You make me strong. Without you, I’d still be trapped in the dark.”

Her eyes widened and she pulled back to look at him. “Did I say something that upset you? I’m sorry.” She said quietly, frowning and looking down.
