He gave out a sigh and kissed down her neck, sucking gently on her shoulder. "I want you...I have to claim you..."

Her eyes widened and she flushed. “Jonas . . . “ she whispered, sliding her hands gently beneath the hem of his shirt.

He pulled away. "Yeah?" He asked.

She bit her lip. “Can I . . . Can I take your shirt off?” She asked softly.

"Jonas blushed and nodded.

She smiled. “Don’t worry, I won’t bite. . . Maybe.” She whispered teasingly into his ear. She gently slid his shirt over his head, gazing at him.

He blushed and let her look him over. He kissed her next, sliding a hand under her shirt.

She shivered and tilted her head back, sliding her hand slowly down his spine.

He pulled back. "Do you want this?" he asked.

She swallowed and looked up at him. “Do you?” She asked quietly.

"I don't want anyone else to have you before I can..and after today, who knows when one of us might leave." He said

She closed her eyes. “So I’m a prize?” She whispered. “What do you mean by leave?”

"No, you are not a prize to be one...you are...a gift I want to cherish." He whispered. "I want to show you off to everyone, make sure they know how much you mean to me...and what I mean is...Skylar I killed a man today, I could be convicted for it." He said looking at her with sad and scared eyes.

“No, I won’t let that happen!” She said fiercely. “You were protecting me. I would do the same thing for you! If you hadn’t killed him, he would’ve killed you! They can’t take you if you were just defending us! You didn’t kill him for no reason!”

"That doesn't mean much!" He said. He looked down. "I just wanna have something to remember you by if it ever comes to that." He said.
"If you want to cherish her and remember her." Tad said as the door opened and he stood there. "This isn't the way, boy. And I told you to not worry about your fate with that man's death." He said.

Skylar slowly sat up, fixing her rumbled shirt and hair. “We won’t let anyone take you away,  Jonas.” She said firmly. Then she slipped out of the bed, standing up. It was embarrassing Tad was aware of what they may have done, but Skylar was inwardly wondering if she would have given herself to Jonas. She loved him more than anything, so . . . yes, she would give herself to him. But not like this. Not for the reasons he was talking about. She quietly glanced out the window, then spoke softly. “Jonas . . . I don’t want you to remember me and cherish me from the deed. I don’t want you to feel like you have to do this because your friends ask you about it and don’t mind their own business. I don’t want you to push yourself to do something because you’re afraid that you might have to leave.” She swallowed. She felt so vulnerable. So small. “And I don’t want my virginity to be desired. I want . . . I want to be remembered for me. I want to be desired for me. I want to cherished for me. Virginity shouldn’t matter. Nothing else should matter except what we feel for each other. No one else’s opinions should matter. Just us. Just what is between us.”

"Sky it's not like that..." he whispered. "I'm just...so scared of what might happen after this." He whispered. "I'm sorry." He said shaking. "I swear it's not like that..."

Her face was red as she stared at the floor. She felt . . . confused and afraid. She felt like a fool. She knew Jonas meant what he said. She couldn’t explain what she was feeling at the moment. Maybe it was because she had never been so vulnerable in her entire life, and now she didn’t know what to do about it. Maybe it was because she had just laid herself bare, and was afraid what would happen because of it, would be judged for it.

She looked shattered as she looked up at Jonas, the boy she loved more than anything. She looked lost. “We . . . We’re not stable right now. A lot has happened today. To both of us. We’re not in the right mind set.” She said very quietly.

He nodded and sighed. "I understand." He said.

XShe composed herself and looked up at Jonas. They had both just had a moment of fear, of misunderstanding. She tentatively walked over to him and hugged him tightly. “I promise everything will be okay.” She murmured quietly. “So don’t worry about how much time we have left. I intend to be with you forever.”

Jonas just hugged her back. He shook and cried a little as he hugged her. Tad turned to leave. "Oh, and next time you two plan on doing something stupid, one, please don't do it on my bed, and two use protection." He said as he threw a condom onto the bed and closed the door leaving.

She smiled a bit in amusement as Tad left, but continued to hold Jonas, rubbing his back gently. “It’s okay . . . Please don’t cry . . . “

"No...It's not okay." He shook. "Sky I killed my bother today..." He said.

“What?” She whispered, shocked. She pulled back slightly to look at him, holding his shoulders. “But you said that you got in a fight because you wouldn’t come home . . . And that you hoped he was okay . . .”

Jonas broke. "He texted me this morning to talk. But when I meet up with him...he was sick from a wound on his stomach." He cried. "He begged me to stop the pain..."
