She tightened her arm around his and took slow steps across the ice, biting her lip in concentration. Then she felt one of her feet slip and she gave a yelp, grabbing onto Jonas with her other arm.

Jonas laughed and held her. He chuckled. "The first step to anything is learning to fall."

"Well, it won't be long before I do fall." She mumbled, holding onto him tighter.

"And if you do fall, I'll catch you!" Jonas said.

She gave a small chuckle. "And I'll try to catch you too." She took another step and wobbled. Then, both she and Jonas slipped on the ice, and as Skylar tried to grab Jonas to regain her balance, she ended up bring them both down. "Whoops!"

Jonas chuckled and laughed. "It's okay. The first step to anything is learning to fall."

"You said that already." she chuckled, poking his stomach playfully.

"Well then you have a lot more falling to do before you can stand!" He laughed.

"Apparently." Skylar sighed, though smiled. She tried to stand up again, but this time slipped and fell into Jonas's arms.

Jonas caught her. "Just relax, and slide." He smirked as he held her shifting back on the ice

"Easier said than done." She regained her balance and stood with him, taking a deep breath and sliding across the ice. She fumbled a few times, but then started to just slide. She grinned a bit to herself.

"See." Jonas smiled. He slid around on the ice flawlessly.

She laughed softly, then eyed him. She propelled herself towards him.

He skated back, spinning.

Skylar tried to do a turn as she slid, but she ended up falling down on her knees.

"You okay?" Jonas asked.

"Yeah I'm-" she broke off, her gaze narrowing on something behind Jonas, her body tensing.

"Well well well, if it isn't little Saika and her new little Gargoyle boyfriend." Sneered a voice. Two hooded figures stood on the shore behind Jonas, their hands stuffed in their pockets.

Skylar clenched her jaw, recognizing two Sabers as they slid their hoods off. "What are you two doing here?"

"We followed you to see if the rumors were true. If you had indeed betrayed the Sabers." said the other Saber. "Looks like Chase was right."

Jonas growled and turned to face them. "Stay behind me." he said.

Skylar slowly stood up, trying to keep her balance as she glared at the Sabers.

"Oh look, her little boy toy wants to protect her. Looks like he's a traitor to his gang too." One smirked.

"I'm surprised Saika actually got a boy toy with that sharp tongue and cold attitude of hers." The other said. "She'd be a cutie if she would actually smile once and a while."

"What to you two want?" She snapped. "To ridicule me? Congrats, you succeeded. Now leave."

One smirked. "You expect us to just leave after we've confirmed you're a filthy traitor? Well you're wrong. You see, Sabers don't tolerate traitors. You should know that by now."

"Stand down." Jonas snarled darkly. "I'm warning you."

"Settle down, boy toy." One pulled gun out of his pocket and pointed it at Jonas. "This isn't your business. Go crawl back to your fellow Gargoyles in the gutter.

Skylar froze, then her gaze darkened as she started towards them, but the other Saber pulled out another gun and pointed it at her. "Don't move, princess. We got a bone to pick with you. Now, do as we say and your little boy toy won't get hurt."

She growled. "What do you want?"

The one pointing the gun at her smirked. "We heard you had a little weakness. You can't swim, right? Well, I'm going to need you to walk out to the middle of the lake."

"Skylar, don't do anything they say!" Jonas said quickly. He moved so he covered her. "You guys are real idiots!" Jonas snapped. "You're in the open, there is no where for you to hide! Someone will notice. I don't think you also noticed that we're closer to Gargoyle territory! Someone is bound to see us out here." He snapped.

They sneered at him. "Buildings are blocking the view from the street, and the shore is down the slope so people looking out windows won't be able to see us." One cooed. "So don't you worry, little Gargoyle. I'm sure our plan will work out." He turned to Skylar. "I suggest you start walking, little spy, or else your Gargoyle here is going to start receiving bullets."

Skylar was silent, though her eyes were full of such loathing. "Chase will find out you've acted out of turn and he will punish you for it." She said.

One shrugged. "One must be willing to make sacrifices in order to carry out justice. Now walk!" He shot the ice beside Jonas's feet, and Skylar jumped and started to slide back towards the center of the lake.

Tad glanced to her and rolled his eyes. "You better hurry up, and finish eating." He told Mia. "Or you're gonna miss the bus, and I don't really have time to walk with you to school darling."

"Okay Taddy." Mia said as she quickly shoveled her food into her mouth. She finished her food and then grabbed her backpack. She ran over and hugged Tad's legs. He hugged her back brushing her hair back. "You have a good day, okay?" He whispered as she nodded. Mia ran out waving bye to Tad and Kanon.

"Oh? And what are you looking for with the gangs, revenge, a way to take out anger, or just looking for fun?" He asked.

"Yeah totally, to the lake!" Jonas smiled.

"A way to take out anger." Orville replied.

[Hey Scarzie I'm going to start working on Pessima as an animated series soon and I know you won't be happy to know that season 2 / the Summoners season of it Anothian just gets beat up a bunch of times and is dead for half of it]

"Skylar, don't do it!" Jonas said unflinching at the bullet landing into the ice by his feet.
