"J-J-J-Jonas . . . " she managed to mumble, her eyes closed and her body still shaking.

She nods, completely forgetting about meeting with Hog. "Who are they?"

"I've got money." Orville nodded.

"Sh." Ivan said through chattering teeth. "H-He'll be fine. We'll take him back to the den." He said. He put her into the car and climbed in himself.

"You ever hear of the McLain murders?" Tad asked.

"How much?" He asked.

"I-I-I'm g-g-going too . . . " she muttered, through chattering teeth.

She nods. "Yeah..."

"Save your breath." Ivan said as Hunk started the car up and drove quickly to the bar.

"I'm pretty sure that they are, the McLain twins." Tad said taking a drag. "I mean the boy's bodies where never found, police assumed that the father either buried them somewhere else, or animals drug the kids bodies off." Tad said. "However, I have a theory, that the boys killed their father, not an animal." Tad said. "reports say the father's body was found mangled, worst place in the face and arms, and guts. The mother had the cut to the throat... Now if I where a young child, and the one thing that always was there to protect me when I got hurt, suddenly died because of the thing that hurt me...A simple little mind would instantly go to righting what I was wronged...hurt the thing that hurt me, get revenge."

Skylar slowly drifted off numbly.

She nods slowly. "The father killed their mother, their protector, and in turn, they kill him, freeing them, saving themselves. The death of their mother would've been what made them snap."

"How much do you need?" Orville glanced up at him.

"Correct..." Tad said. "I think those two boys just hid and lived in the forest. It's big enough outside the city, on one would have really noticed..." Tad said thinking. "But where did they get their looks and those weapons?" Tad asked.

Heat enveloped her, Later she woke up in the basement of the bar. Jack was sitting in between two beds reading a book. Jonas laid on the bed across from her.

"$200 dollars." He said.

She slowly opened her eyes, feeling warmth surround her. She wriggled her fingers and toes. She could move again. She glanced under the blanket to see what she was wearing.

She was in flannel clothing.

She glanced over and saw Jack, then Jonas. Her gaze rested on Jonas for a few moments, then she glanced back at Jack. ". . . Are you doing okay?" She asked hoarsely.

"I'm fine." Jack said. "So is Jo." He said nodding to Jonas. He's still out though." Jack said walking over and handed her a warm glass of tea. "I'm suppose to go get Ivan right away when you wake up, but I'll let you finish your tea first before Ivan starts to question."

Skylar took the mug graciously and blew on her tea before taking a sip, feeling it warm her insides pleasantly.

"You okay?" Jack asked.

"Yeah . . . just in shock." She said quietly, glancing briefly at Jonas once again before looking down into her cup of tea. Just as she had suspected she would, she had dragged him down in her Saber issues. And he had almost died because of it.

"Don't blame yourself. Jonas is very Altruistic in nature. He once almost got himself killed because he jumped out of Hunk's car on the highway. Why did he jump out? He saw a man with a box of puppies that he was trying to place on the highway, so Jonas jumped out, almost got hit by a Semi, cause Hunk to total his car just so he could beat the man up!' Jack laughed gently. "He's a good kid and would die for no real reason if it meant saving someone else."

"I know he's good. God I know. It's one of reasons he's special. But it's because of how special he is that I am at fault." She said bitterly. "It's my fault that goodness almost disappeared from the world. Because of me, he was willing to risk himself. He almost died in a cold and dark place . . . something that's not acceptable at all. Jonas deserves to die old and happy in the sunshine. He's too good to be ripped away from a world that needs him by a girl too stupid to learn how to swim and how to deal with her own demons." She tightened her grip around her mug.

"But we didn't loose either of those things. And you know what, I'm sure if you asked that ray of sunshine, it'd gladly teach you how to swim." He said gently. "I'm gonna go get Ivan." Jack said standing up.

She frowned and stared into her mug silently.

A few moments later, Ivan came down after Jack. "Hey kid, you look a lot better." He said. He walked over and sat backwards on a chair. "I need ya to answer some questions."

Already feeling like she was in a bad mood, Skylar sighed and leaned back. She just wanted to sleep. Or if Jonas waked up, give him a piece of her mind for almost dying. "I don't feel better." She replied, though raised an eyebrow to wait for his questions.

"what did these punks who did this to you look like?" Ivan said flatly, a dark look glinting in his eyes. Jack stood silently in the background.
