Guardians (RP thread)

" Why can't we talk to each other with our something bad happening?" Sam asked looking at everyone.

Lei closed the book and looked over at Sam. "What do you want to talk about then?" He smiled a bit.

" I don't care. Just this silence and glares are killing me." Sam told him.

“Well you seem to have a lot on your mind, I’m open to listen.” Lei smiled to her and looked over the book covers again, putting the one he held back with the others. Which one should I read first? I need to know more about the guardians. He stood up and went back to the kitchen table and pulled out a chair next to Sam.

Ajax looked at Lei as he looked through the books. "You won't want to start with those ones. A lot of them have important side notes written in demonic. Here... give me one second." He said as he rose up from the dinner table. He walked to the book shelf in the living room and pulled down a set of three books. "These are the ones that are best to start with. Beginner's guide to Demonic, The Scripture of Angels and How to Bend the Laws of Nature." He said as he brought the three books over. "In other words, a book to teach you demonic, a book to teach you how to understand biblical scripture and one how to begin Alchemy. These are the premise to doing anything as a guardian. Practice as much as you like...except Alchemy, please only do that if you have one of the guardians or myself there to help you. Alchemy if done wrong, can kill you." He said setting the books down in front of him. "I's day start with demonic. It makes speaking to demons easier. I'm sure the Zormas and Zorkas would love to help you practice." He said.

Lei took the books and looked them over, looking up at Ajax. "Thanks." He smiled

"Of course." He said with a smile.

"Seems like I missed quite a lot that happened with you guys." Lei said, seeming to refer to him and Yashvi being stuck in purgatory away from the others.

"I don't think you miss all that much." he said.

"Okay then..." Lei looked down at the demonic language book and opened it a little half-heartedly.

Sam sighed this is hopeless she thought getting up and clearing the table. Everyone was finished eating so she might as well put the food away.

Lei noticed Sam clearing the plates and got up to help her.

"Lakvar!" A Zorma shouted as they crawled in through the window. "Lakvar Darzoretech!"

Lei almost jumped, looking over at the Zorma. "What is it saying?"

Sam looked at it a bit confused. " I'm still learning demonic. I haven't learned it read those words." She said. " but it's soul sounds panicked and scared."

"Vorskae tae?" Ajax asked.

"Havankar, oa havankar aee laa terkzet!" The Zorma said. "Kruzt Eak!"

Lei watched them talk nervously. “Can you understand anything they’re saying?” He asked Sam

" the words I'm still learning. But I can hear people's and things souls. And his is in distress." Sam told him. " Rayyan thought me how to so I could stop Azriel." She listened carefully.

( I'm curious on what language you are using for demonic?)

(Honestly, just what ever rolls off the tongue when I mumble it to myself.)

"Okay, calm down." Ajax said with a sigh. "You all stay here, there is a homeless man in the woods, I'm gonna go lead him back to town." He said with a sigh. "And someone give this Zorma a cookie for running here, please." Ajax said.

" I can help with the homeless man. I may know him." Sam told him.

(I could come up with a language for demonic)

Lei went to the kitchen looking around until he found the jar, then walked back over to the Zorma a little cautiously. He tossed the cookie over to it.

I'm already working on it.))

"No, it's not a problem." Ajax said. "I know a few of them that come looking for me because I've helped them before. It won't take long." He said as he opened the door. He glanced over his shoulder. "I will be right back." He said as he walked out the door and closed in gently behind him.

The little Zorma, like a clumsy child took the cookie from where it fell, plopped onto the counter and held it. the cookie was about the same size as himself. He opened his pointed mouth and bit into the cookie.

Lei watched it for a moment before glancing back at Sam. “What was that about a homeless person?” He asked

" a person got passed out barriers. So humans can't see this place. It just looks like an empty forest." Sam told him.

The zorma ate the cookie and signed.
