Guardians (RP thread)

"I don't see how you aren't." he chuckled.

" I have insomnia." Sam told him. " I don't sleep well."

"I may have something for that." Ajax said as he walked to one of the cupboards with a lock. His nail shifted shape and turned into a key unlocking the door. He opened it up and pulled out a mortar and pestle. He pulled out a few bags of dried herbs and pinched out specific amounts before dropping them into the bowl and grinding them down fine. He scrapped the leaves into a cup and poured water over top. He held the cup with two hands and it started to boil gently as his hands steamed and smoked. After a moment of gentle boiling he set the cup down and drew in a breath. He sighed down at it and a soft wind wicked away most of the heat. "Here, try drinking this." He said as he started to pack the cupboard up and close it once again. "It's a remedy Azriel use to make me when I'd have night terrors and insomnia after my family died."

Sam looked at it suspicious. " I've tried a lot of things to help me sleep."

"Ever try something with herbs from Eden?" He asked.

" you do know the Samarian definition of Eden is abundant lovely safe and garden." Sam told him. " it's the oldest civilations with record keeping."

"Oldest record, but those herbs are actually from Eden." He said.

" but did the name Eden come from them? Or did they know about our eden." Sam asked curiously.

"I'm not sure, that's a question for Rayyan, he is the guardian of Wisdom after all. He keeps the records."

" I wonder if they were the first guardians." Sam asked thinking.

"The first guardians where the people who's souls are now bound to one of the for names with respective names. The first guardian of hell, a woman named Abruca. The guardian of earth, Iliark. The woman of Purgatory, Marjara. and the protector of the gates of the clouds, Yanish." Ajax said. "However, never call upon the name of the realm you guard. Calling out their name lends you their strength, but often times it puts strain on your body and will also cause your soul to be over taken by them if you are not trained enough." Ajax explained.

" good to know. What will happen when I call upon the other names?" Sam asked she took the cup looking at what he made.

"Well you are of Earth and the strongest of the guardians and also the only one able to master all elements. If you call upon them they will lend you have their power, but that half of the power comes from the guardian, making that guardian mortal until you release their half of the soul. But you must be careful, to call upon the souls is dangerous. Earth and Hell are aggressive and can and will kill you in a rage."

(I actually have the realms names wrong. I had to find the note I made, lol!
Hell = Abruca
Purgatory = Avrigo (Rigo)
Earth = Gaeginna (Gaea)
Heaven = Ezex ))

" that seems to keep running in the line." Sam mumbled looking at the drink now. She was contemplating on trying it to see if it helps.

"Not always, but that is a lesson for after you have had some decent sleep." Ajax said looking to the drink. "It won't kill you to try."

" okay." Sam said taking a sky sip.

The flavor was mellow and sweet. It didn't really have much of a flavor but it was calming.

" what makes the herbs from Eden so special?" Sam asked taking another sip.

"They are more powerful than Earth plants and they are also grown in response to God singing to them." Ajax said.

" so God is a real person?" Sam asked again.

"I do not know. I haven't met him. I only know what Orrik tells me or what I've read from books of Rayyan's. No guardian, other than the originals who where made by God, has seen him. The Guardian of heaven cannot get too close to the gate or look through the bars for they will be burned. Earth only can enter Eden and in eden, the only voice there are echoes of the past. Purgatory cannot leave and Hell is a place where prayer and worship is to cause pain to your own body. I will probably never know God, being born half demon, when I die my soul will instantly be drug through purgatory and back to hell." Ajax said. "However I would assume God is real for I have met Lucifer, and have been punished by Seraphs, spoken with both Behemoth and Leviathan, and seen acts that I cannot explain." He said.

" he never shows himself?" Sam said a little sad.

"He does, on rare occasions, but they are not often. Though, i wouldn't doubt it if he reviled himself in the near future."

" why doesn't he show himself to us? Just the ones he made? How were we made then?" Sam asked.

Ajax laughed. "You really need to ask Rayyan more questions. He spends more time with him than I do." Ajax said. "And I'm sure he has his reasons not to show himself. Remember why humans where kicked out of Eden, knowledge." He said. "It does dangerous things."
