Wolf nodded and sat back down.

Akaru packed up the first aid kits and set the stack of them on the table. He moved over to sit next to Wolf and lean on him a bit.

Nyla held cutters hand tightly in hers this time she was caring about the fact she didn't have gloves on. She was more worried about the fact he hasn't woken up. " please wake up." She whispered to herself. Praying he would open her eyes soon and that her effors wouldn't have been for nothing. At the same time she vowed if he never woke up she was going to kill puppet master herself.

"Maybe we should do something while we wait for Cutter to wake up, something that'll make time go by faster." Akaru suggested.

" y'all can do something else." Nyla told him.

"Nyla...it won't do us any good to just sit here, and after all, you need to rest, you look tired." Wolf said gently. Wolf wrapped an arm around Akaru and sighed. "Look I-I know how worried you are about him I'm just as worried. When Cutter was first brought here he and I where treated similarly. People feared me because I was always a monster and they feared him because he was an outsider...I see him as an older brother at times and I don't want to see you lose you mind like this..." he said as he gently clasped his hand on her shoulder.

" I'm not leaving this room." Nyla spoke quietly. Still holding cutters hand tightly in hers.

Wolf sighed gently. "I'll bring you some food then." he sighed.

Nyla just say there hoping with everything she had that he'd be alright.

Wolf brought her some food later that day but nothing had improved.

Nyla had fallen asleep next to cutter head resting on the side of his bed.

Wolf picked up a blanket and gently laid it over the two of them. He stood there looking at them. "Cutter, I hope you come back for her, but if you don't... go safely into the night."

Nyla shifted a little but didn't wake.

Wolf sighed and left, leaving them alone.

Akaru dozed off back in their room but only slept lightly, waking up several times and noticing that Wolf had gone back down. I hope Cutter wakes up. He kept thinking.

Nyla was still asleep next to cutter.

Wolf walked back up to their shared room and saw Akaru awake. "I'm sorry did I wake you up when I left?" He asked.

The body next to her had grown cold and still.

"No, I'm just not having the best time sleeping." Akaru said, sitting up.

Wolf walked over and sat next to him. "I know what you mean." He sighed as he wrapped his arms around Akaru and pulled him into his lap.

Akaru hugged Wolf back tightly and rested his head on his chest. "Many of us are getting distracted. If we're going to get away from the Count and escape the haven we'll need everyone focused. But I guess everyone is kind of worried and confused..." He muttered on.

Nyla stured hoping to see cutter awake. But she frowned checking his pulse.

There was nothing to feel his skin had grown cold and his pulse slowed to a stop.

"I would be too if I where any of them. The average people don't have the kind of strength the rest of us do..." he whispered.

"I don't think I have that kind of strength either." Akaru said. "I haven't used my powers since Hoss took control of the haven and kicked us out. They're pretty useless."

Nyla began to cry placing her head gentling on his cold chest.

"You don't know that Akaru." Wolf said gently.

A hand shifted and held her head. Nyla... his voice whispered.
