“I see . . . “ it must’ve been dark members who killed his parents as well. “I’m sorry about Ivan. I wasn’t there when it happened.” He said. “But . . . Chase goes too far. I realize that. So that’s why you have to protect Sky. When the time comes . . . He’ll come for her for betraying him.”

"No on in the Gargoyles will ever let that happen, she's a member of us, they'll all protect her." He said. "Conway would have to kill everyone first to get to her, and that's a hell of a job." He said. "And don't apologize to me about Ivan..." Jonas said sadly. "I'm more worried about Conway. He was able to take down one of our fastest members...That's about to make him cockier than he was before, and that scares me."

“But she’s want to sacrifice herself rather than let anyone do so for her.” He said quietly. “Don’t underestimate Chase. He won’t be easy to beat.”

"I'm not underestimating him, but I'm worried about what he may do, with his confidence." Jonas said.

“Me too...” Ashton murmured. He sighed and glanced around. “Well, I should be going. Be careful, kid.”

"Yeah...you too." He said as he started to leave.

Ashton went his own way.

Jonas left to meet with his brother.

Ashton made his way back to his apartment.

Meanwhile, Skylar had decided to head to town for a bit to pass the time. She wondered from antique shops to a cafe to get a coffee, then to a little clothing store. She bought herself some new sweaters and bought Jonas a couple too.

Jonas was in an argument with his brother.

A man watched Skylar as she hopped around town.

She paused by a fountain in town and sat on a bench, sipping her coffee. She wondered if Jonas had gone to see his family. Frowning worriedly, she glanced at her phone.

The man watched from his perch. "Tell me again why we can't touch her?" He growled.
"Because, she is the first key to making the gargoyles fall." Another voice spoke roughly. "Don't forget that your father ordered you to NOT kill anyone, just stir up trouble."

Tsume walked up to Chase who sat in his throne with Val in his lap, making out. Tsume growled to get his attention. Chase pulled away from her and looked at him. "What is it Tsume?" He growled.
"My brother is sick again. You need to hold up your end of the deal." He said.
Chase narrowed his eyes and moved Val off his lap to stand up. He grabbed Tsume and threw him.

Skylar, getting the feeling she was being watched, hastily finished her coffee and tossed it in a bin before gathering her things and standing up.

"She'd be so easy to take out right now." He said.
"No."
"I know...I'm just saying."

Jonas was walking down the street, a large bruise forming around his right eye. He and his brother had ended their argument with a fight, but he left better looking.

Going through the combat she had learned from Tad in her mind, Skylar kept an eye out as she walked down the street, back towards home.

A drunk man stumbled out of a bar. "Well aren't you a pretty little thing!' He hiccuped.

“Get lost.” Skylar said briskly, quickening her pace.

"Where are you going?" He called. "Stupid broad."

She ignored him, continuing on her way. She had learned that showing kindness to people like him only made the situation worse.

Jonas walked back to the Bar and went looking for Skylar. "Hey Hunk, where is Sky?" He asked.
"Not sure, she went out for coffee a bit ago."
"You let her go alone?" He asked.
"Yeah...?" Hunk said.
"Idiot, she could be attacked by Sabers for being a traitor." Jonas said as he took off out the building.

Sky felt her heart pound as she walked the streets on her way home, clutching her bags tightly in her hands. You idiot. Don’t be scared like a little girl. Everything will be fine. Just act like nothing is wrong and get your ass home, She inwardly scolded herself. The feeling of being watched was making her nervous.

"She's not thinking rationally." the man watching her said.
"You're right she's not." the other said as s smile grew over his face. "The boss said we couldn't kill her...but he never said anything about having some fun." He said.

She bit her lower lip roughly as she turned a street corner, glancing up at the sky. It would be dark soon.

Before the man could speak, the other took off after her, waiting for her to be at a right spot.

Something wasn’t right. She could feel it like a kick to the gut. Thinking it would be stupid to stop, She quickened her pace.
