Guardians (RP thread)

"I guess it's all the years. I haven't aged but that doesn't mean nearly 600 years hasn't affected me." Yashvi walked outside and she kept her distance from Sam and Eli but she could hear them a bit.

Ajax watched over them. He smiled slightly.

Yashvi sat down on the grass and let her mind wander a bit into her memories.

"Not after i was arrested... I used to look for them wherever i went before that but... After i just couldn't" Eli answered. "But they were like family to me... My substitute siblings since i didnt have real ones. We looked out for each other and that was enough to me."

" You should find them." Sam said softly. Everyone here had some sort of family but her. She was always alone.

"No..... Look, just because I felt that way about them doesnt mean they did about me. They have lives without me, and they miight not even remember me well. Ileave the past in the past. Besides, they werent really family, they were just a couple of scared kids i looked out for. Fellow survivors of the system." Eli said. "That's the truth behind it, nothing more."

"That's bullshit. I would remember the guy who made it so my foster father didn't rape me." Sam said bluntly.

Eli looked down and sighed. "Sam... I said I didnt find them but... thats not technically true when it comes to her. I did find her.... but she wasnt her. I found her about a year before I was arrested Sam. I try not to think about it because soon after we parted ways, she went to another home that was just as bad as the one we shared. A place with no one to look out for her. When I found her, she didnt have her memories, she didnt have much of anything. She was beaten and broken down so much so that she was turned into something I couldnt recognize. I dont like to think of it because it makes me feel like a bad person for not... for not trying to help her when she was like that. She had no memories and was... she was to the point that she was gonna be put in a mental hospital and I didnt try to help her." Tears streamed down his face. "But about 2 months later I gained the courage to go see her... she was no longer there..... she....."

" comited suicide. " Sam sighed as well. " I'll tell you this I've been in her place I've tried to kill myself multiple times. But each time I came back. Didn't realize till now it was because I wasn't supposed to die. " she frowned before saying " even though she was so abused to the point she was a hallow shell. I'm pretty sure the memory of someone trying to help her stuck. I know it would have for me. That would have been the one memory I cringed too."

"She didnt kill herself." Eli said. "She mighta been a hollow shell, she mighta lost her memories, but she didnt do that. Though if she did have her memories I expect that she would've. What actually happened is... she had slipped into a coma and.... the state didnt have the funding so.... they pulled the plug on her life support.... the day before I got there to see her again."

" You can still see you you know. " Sam stated out.

"Huh?" Eli replied as he glanced at Sam

" you can still see her. She's either still in pergitory or been placed in heaven or hell. My bets is pergitory. Once Lei becomes guardian there you can visit her any time you want. I plan on visiting Lei once a week. I don't want him becoming like Fia."

Eli looked down, "But she had none of her memory when she died.... so would she have them there?"

" Her memory isn't her soul. Her soul will know everything. " Sam told him touching his shoulder lightly.

Eli looked at Sam, "Thanks..."

" you see once Lei becomes guardian he can't ever leave purgatory. That's why I'm going to go visit him regularly. And if you make a connection with him he'll help you find her." Sam said softly.

"When the Dragkin dies they too will be there for Purgatory. Their soul can go neither to heaven or hell so they stay in purgatory to keep the Guardian company. That is if Purgatory let's them. Purgatory has the ability to torture, or bless, souls. souls only have so much will power and once that power is depleted, they vanish from memory." Twiggy said softly. "Fia never had someone to care for her, and when the Dragkin who raised the brothers died, she tortured his soul because he never was there for her before she was a Guardian, trapped to her domain. She took out her anger on him and destroyed the memory of him, taking away her one last chance and friendship. If you where to ask any of the brothers what was the name of their Dragkin, or what they looked like, they could never tell you, all that they remember is that they where raised and trained by their Dragkin." Twiggy said. "That is why Ajax tries so hard to be friends with all of you. He doesn't wish pain on any of you, and wants to see you all happy."

"Part of that sounded like self-preservation. But I get it." Eli said looking at Twiggy. He then looks at Sam, "Thanks for that. I think I will as well."

Twiggy smiled and stopped off.

Yashvi laid back in the grass just outside the house, admiring the sky in thought. If another does come, what will I do about it? She wondered

She heard a group of foot steps walking quietly through the woods.

Yashvi turned her head and looked off at the forest in the direction of the footsteps

"Is this really that important, Orrik?" Rayyan asked.

"Yes, this is a matter of all of us." Orrik said as he walked followed by Azriel and Rayyan.

"Make it quick though, Bro i need to refresh the seals of hell." Azriel grumbled.

Yashvi kept hearing the foosteps and after a moment she finally sat up. Who's coming?
