Ethereal and Indelicate (Zombie and Superhero rp)

Nyla decided to take a walk when she heard the honking. She rushed to the fence opening the gate.

"Hey Nyla." Veli smiled when he saw her walk up. "I found one of your guys just wandering the street."

" Comet!" Nyla gasped rushing up to him. " shit he's been bitten. Help me get him to medical bay?"

"Okay" Veli ran back to the truck and helped Comet get out, supporting him through the gate. Comet looked exhausted, stumbling and his head hanging a bit.

Nyla shut the gate behind them. Hurting as fast as she could. " Do you know how long he's been bitten?"

"The wound looks a couple days old." Veli looked at Comet's bitten arm. They headed for the medical bay.

" a couple of day?" Nyla said confused " he would have turned by now."

"Did you give him the cure beforehand?" Veli asked, helping Comet to sit on one of the medical bay beds. Comet didn't say anything but he rubbed his palms over his eyes and forehead.

" I don't think so. But he could have given it to himself. " Nyla said checking him out. " This bite has gone septic. He had an infection. "

"I found Hoss." Comet said, holding his arm out for her to check the bite. "Or rather he found me, I don't exactly remember..."

" Why didn't you call for help?" Nyla asked.

"I left my phone here by my toolbox, I was more concerned with carrying my gun but I lost that too." Comet sighed.

" Comet you should have told us you left." Nyla said putting a IV of antibiotics into his arm.

"I didn't know at the time I was leaving. I went outside the wall to fix the grate, then got chased by one of the zombies but Ryder was there also." Comet said, still holding his head in one palm.

" where is Ryder?" Nyla asked washing out the bite mark. " I would heal you but I don't have enough energy."

"That's okay. I think he made it back here but if not then he's still out there." Comet said. "The reason I haven't turned was because Hoss took me back to his lab."

" What?"Nyla stopped working. " What did he do to you?"

"He stuck some syringe in my neck and left me for a few hours. He said he mutated me but I'm not sure what exactly that did." He replied.

" Comet...." Nyla mumbled. " It takes a few days for it to come out. Remember it took me a week to learn what he did to me."

"It's been a day and a half since." He said. "I guess we'll see by the end of the week. I'm just glad I survived the process."

" I'm so sorry..." she said softly pushing the hair out of his face. " It's painful I know. But I'm glad you're alive."

"It's fine." Comet sighed, lifting his head to face her but his eyes looked unfocused.

" Hey. Relax. I got you." Nyla said softly. " relax you should be okay." She placed a gentle hand on his shoulder.

"I know that." Comet said. He grabbed her arm and stood up. "I guess I'll go rest a while."

" Rest here. So I can monitor you." She pushed him back onto the bed again.
