" I would think self preservation would be the major factor." Sam said sharpy. She had finished putting food on the table. " enjoy your dinner." Sam spoke flatly leaving the kitchen.

Rayyan groaned and hopped up following her. "Sam, Sam wait."

" you try being able to hear souls! Then only to find someone you thought would have your back wasn't there to help. I've tried to be nice and be there for her!" Sam told him standing on the front pourch.

"You only recently learned to hear souls Sam, and it changes perspective I know that, but you cannot turn on her." He said as he placed a soft hand on her shoulder. "You all know each other so little, it's not fair if you all are at one and others throats." He said softly. "I just want all this pain to end..." He said. "I don't want the four of you to end up like the four of us...pitted against each other."

" I don't want that either. But how can I trust her? All four of us were at the gates about to go to Eden. Then all hell breaks loose and she disappears. She said she didn't even realize what was going on." Sam told him sighing. " I want to trust her... But how can I know when things get tough she won't just run away again."

"Because not everyone is born to face danger fearlessly, some have to be trained into it." He told her. He placed both his hands on her shoulder so she could look at him. "It's not everyday that people, kids none the less see a demon of hell towering before them. And it may have also not been her fault. I know when I was that young I didn't have full control over myself yet, if I got scared my body would teleport me to safety. It could have been something along those lines." He said looking down at her with gentle blue eyes.

Sam sighed " I still shouldn't have had to do it by myself. Plus I've been making sure everyone is okay and healed..."

"I know that Sam, and you have made some of the best progress of them, but that is why you need to be a role model to them. Earth is the easiest of all the traits to master, so you will always be leaps and bound ahead of them, so you have to show them how to erase their fears." He said. "As well as to make sure that we are not picking favorites." He thought silently.

" I've already learned a little of the other elements too..." Sam mumbled.

Rayyan sighed. "And they all know that. Also you are gonna have to learn how to control when you listen to someone's thoughts. Those are private places Sam."

" I've gotten that pretty welcome controlled. It's the souls one I'm having a hard time tuning out." She told him with a sigh.

"I'm gonna go get some fresh air..." Lei said, leaving the kitchen and heading out to the back porch, overlooking the forest.

Fallon doesn't say anything to Eli, brushing past him. She heads towards the kitchen. Whilst sleeping, she had blocked her mind behind layer upon layer of barricades and barriers, creating walls.

Lei stayed outside for about an hour and came back in from walking out into the woods. He walked over to the kitchen and looked around, passing Fallon.

Eli followed Fallon to the kitchen. He was unsure of what to say, or if he should even say anything.

She grabs something to eat, remaining silent.

Lei sat down and watched Eli and Fallon, crossing his arms on the kitchen table-top.

She doesn't look at Lei at all, keeping her head down.

"Something wrong?" Lei asked, looking at Fallon with concern.

"...Nothing..." she mumbles.

"Doesn't look like nothing... Looks like something is really on your mind." He said

"Yea... You know you can talk to us about anything right? We're supposed to be a team. I don't know about the rest of you... but I don't feel like any of us know each other very well. We should really work on that." Eli said, prompted to speak up by Lei's words.

She just looks at them, hesitation clear in her eyes.

"Take your time, you don't have to share if you don't want to but it'll do you some good to get it off your chest." Lei said.

" I should at least apologize for snapping at her..." Sam sighed seeing everyone sitting at the table. " we should go in an eat."
